Aerial Photos of Recent Work at Apple's North Carolina Data Center

Later this month we told you that Apple was already undertaking a minor expansion of its massive data center in Maiden, North Carolina. The company has recently received permits for building “tactical data center.” Now we may show you aerial photos of the site obtained by Wired, demonstrating ongoing installation of solar panels at the 100-acre solar farm across the street from the data center and what appears to be the 4.8-megawatt fuel cell facility behind the data center.

Video And Photo Comparison of iPhone 5 And iPhone 4S Front Panels



iPhone repair parts company Etrade Supply has published a comparison of the front panels of purported next-generation iPhone and iPhone 4S. In line with many other leaked photos and videos, the front panel for iPhone 5 shows that the device will include a taller display and its FaceTime camera will be placed above the earpiece.

iPad Outsold Samsung Tablets 7-to-1 In The Second Quarter

According to the estimates released by IDC, tablet shipments reached 25 million units in the second quarter and Apple’s iPad accounted for 68% of that volume. IDC noted that despite high 117.6% year-over-year growth in shipments Samsung still saw its tablets significantly outnumbered by the iPad. Research director at IDC Tom Mainelli said:
