Apple Hires Former Nokia Senior Camera Engineer





Apple has reportedly hired Ari Partinen, a senior camera engineer at Nokia. According to what he has recently posted on his Twitter, he will start working for the company from Cupertino as soon as in June.

Ari Partinen is one of the people behind Nokia’s PureView technology. As he specializes in image quality and camera tuning, Partinen will probably be responsible for improving iPhone's camera.

As noted by Benjamin Mayo of 9to5Mac,

On Twitter, Ari Partinen, a senior camera engineer at Nokia, has confirmed that he is leaving Nokia for Apple. The hire was first spotted by Engadget. Apple’s iPhone cameras are regarded as some of the best in the market, but Nokia’s PureView cameras have also been widely praised, which can produce pictures up to 38 megapixels in size.

Looks like soon Apple will make iPhone’s photo sensor better. Good news for all those who like taking photos using Apple’s smartphone.
