Earlier this month The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple started production of the iPad mini and its launch is expected within weeks. Today WSJ published a new report saying that Apple’s component suppliers has received orders to produce over 10 million devices for the fourth quarter. The report said:

“Some component suppliers to Apple in Asia say they have received orders to make more than 10 million units of the smaller tablets in the fourth quarter. That is roughly double the order that were placed for Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets in the same quarter, these suppliers say”.

According to rumors, the iPad mini is expected to have 7.85-inch display, thinner bezel and iPod-like thickness.
