Apple to Add Five New Features to the iPad 2

The Chinese Economy Daily News reports that the Apple's next generation iPad will add 5 distinct new features, including:

• Video phone
• Better mobility
• USB port
• New display technology
• 3-axis gyroscope

So, video phone obviously means that Apple is to bring FaceTime and add a front-facing camera to the tablet. As for “better mobility”, Apple is going to ship a lighter and thinner tablet, perhaps based on carbon fiber, perhaps built with a new glass and/or aluminum technology. The USB connector is perhaps the most surprising thing. But, this isn't the first time we've heard that Apple will be adding a USB connector to their next iPad, because such universal USB charging port is required in Europe. The new displays will be Retina. This technology, as expected, will enhance “image and color output” and provide better image and text quality, without increasing pixel resolution that much. And what is about the 3-axis gyroscope? Actually, nothing is special, it just will be reasonable and useful for gamers.
