Apple to Release Three iPhone Models in 2017 - Rumor

According to the latest report from reliable sources, Apple may be planning three iPhone models for 2017. One of these models, as noted by Nikkei Asian Review, will feature a curved OLED display, most likely to compete with Samsung Galaxy lineup.

Next year, Apple may introduce two traditional iPhone models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays. The third version of the handset, a “premium” one, will get a 5.5-inch or even larger screen and a display panel “bent on the two sides.”

David Hsieh, a senior director at IHS DisplaySearch, says that only the premium handset will feature an OLED display and the other two models will stick with low-temperature poly-silicon panels.

Currently, only Samsung is capable of producing displays required for the brand new iPhone. Looks like Apple will have to cooperate with the South Korean giant to introduce a new model.
