Apple Will Fix MacBook Air Issue Causing System Crashes

The company from Cupertino is currently working on a fix for MacBook Air issue that causes system crashes each time the laptop is wakened. As to the possible reason for the problem, it is reportedly a bug in the sensor responsible for detecting when the lid is being open.

An unknown Apple Authorized Service Provider has told MacRumors that the bug will be fixed in the next OS X Mavericks 10.9.2.

An Apple Support representative has also confirmed that a fix is in the works and should be bundled with the next OS X Mavericks update, which likely points to 10.9.2. A user on Apple's support forums has noted that 10.9.2 beta 4 appears to fix part of the problem by altering the function of the power button, preventing the machine from going to sleep when the power button is mis-tapped.

However, the solution to the problem is still only in plans, so many of you may be interested in how to cope with system crashes without waiting for update. Well, the only possible (and temporary) way out is to reboot your MacBook Air.
