Bose Sues Beats Electronics Over Patent Infringements

Bose has reportedly sued Apple’s Beats over the noise-cancelling technology used in the headphones manufactured by the company recently acquired by the guys from Cupertino. According to what people familiar with the matter say, Beats Electronics has violated several patents, which currently belong to Bose. CNBC reporters were the first to tell about the complaint from the American audio equipment industry giant.

Bose has filed a legal complaint against Beats Electronics over the use of noise-cancelling technology used in their headphones, according to CNBC.

Re/code reports that Bose has filed a request with the International Trade Commission to ban the sale and import of certain Beats products.

As you probably know, Apple has acquired Beats Electronics for $3 billion earlier this year, so looks like the complaint from Bose is now a problem for both Beats and Apple executives. How will they solve it? We’ll see. Stay tuned for more news on the topic.
