Enjoy behind-the-scenes video of Mac anniversary ad





Today Apple has released a new video featuring the filming process of the special ad video commemorating Mac 30th anniversary.

Capturing the essence of the moment and it being truthful as seen through the prism of this device is really rather lovely.

This behind-the-scenes video describes the special equipment used to film the ad. It included a number of special mounts that enabled the cameramen to rotate the iPhone camera in any direction. There were several crews filming simultaneously in different locations all around the globe during one day, 26 January. Using FaceTime technology, the director Jake Scott, son of Ridley Scott, was able to overlook the filming process. Later 70 hours of filmed video was sent to the USA to the director.

The original ad video is part of Mac anniversary celebration. It was filmed on 5 continents in 15 different locations, such as Melbourne, London, Shanghai, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Pompeii, Puerto Rico and others. Over 70 hours of footage was captured to made a 125-second video.
