Ian Rogers Suddenly Leaves Apple - Financial Times

According to the latest report from Financial Times reporters, Ian Rogers, former Beats Music CEO and current senior director of Apple Music is leaving Apple. The rumor about his dismissal is rather surprising since nothing indicated the plans of the company to hire a new music industry expert.

As noted by the sources, Rogers will work for an unknown European firm in a completely new sphere of business. The guys from Cupertino have already confirmed that Rogers is leaving the company, however, they decided not to give any further comments on the issue.

Here’s what iClarified reporters write:

The departure comes just two months after the launch of the Beats1 radio service which Rogers helped Apple develop. It's likely to be of some concern to music industry executives who are hoping to see the streaming music service succeed.

Apple Music and the Beats 1 radio have been launched earlier this summer. So far, both services have been popular among Apple users. Even though it is very difficult to call Apple Music a stable and easy-to-use service.
