iPhone Boot Test Reveals Surprising Results [Video]

We all know that the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are incredibly fast and efficient. But how much time does it actually take for the new handsets to boot and how this boot time is different from the time iPhone 5s and earlier models of the smartphone demonstrate? Let’s find out.

On the video below, you may take a look at the full line-up of iPhones taking part in the ultimate boot time test. The rules of this test are incredibly simple: all the handsets should be running the latest firmware version they support and be freshly updated.

And here’s the list of participants:

  • iPhone 2G: iOS 3.1.3, 8GB
  • Phone 3G: iOS 4.2.1, 16GB
  • iPhone 3GS: iOS 6.1.6, 8GB
  • iPhone 4: iOS 7.1.2, 32GB
  • iPhone 4S: iOS 8.0, 64GB
  • iPhone 5: iOS 8.0, 64GB
  • iPhone 5c: iOS 8.0, 16GB
  • iPhone 5s: iOS 8.0, 64GB
  • iPhone 6: iOS 8.0, 128GB
  • iPhone 6 Plus: iOS 8.0, 128GB

Oddly enough, the iPhone 5s turns out to be the first to boot. Then comes the iPhone 5c and finally the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

To be honest, I thought that the recently-released gadgets will beat all the other iPhone models. What a mistake.
