Today Kensington introduced an app-enabled system called “Proximo” that allows iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 users to keep track of their devices 24 hours a day. The press release said ^[1]:

“[Proximo offers] a unique way to track multiple valuables with a last-seen map pin-drop feature, an active proximity dashboard and extended battery life on both its Fob and Tag.”

Similar to Kensington’s BungeeAir that was released last fall, Proximo is a low-power wireless fob that raises an alarm when the user moves too far away from their smartphone.

The starter kit costs $59.99 and comes with the Proximo app ^[2] for tracking the valuables and the iPhone, one Tag to find “a valuable of choice” and a Fob to attach to keys. Those who want to locate and find additional items can buy another Tag for $24.99 each.
