Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6S Tested in Water

YouTube channel EverythingApplePro released an interesting video a couple of days ago. People behind the channel decided to test Samsung’s new smartphone Galaxy S7 Edge and the iPhone 6S in a plastic reservoir filled with water to see if they can get some unexpected results.

According to Samsung, their Galaxy S7 is fully waterproof in accordance with the IP68 standard. Unlike the previous models, the S7 is supposed to work normally after being held in the water for 30 minutes and can be put up to 1,5 meters deep.

Moreover, the company claims to use not only outside waterproof coverage, but inside as well. It means that even USB ports and the headphone jack will work absolutely fine after you drop the smartphone in the water.

In the video above, the S7 is compared to the iPhone 6S that is not waterproof. However, Apple’s product showed some good results, despite the fact it broke down after 15 minutes. After three minutes in the water, iPhone still was functioning well and its stereo hasn’t been violated.

Let us remind that Apple’s next smartphone, iPhone 7 is expected to be waterproof.
