Some iPhone 7 Units Show Cellular Connectivity Issues

Some iPhone 7 users report that their devices fail to reconnect to the cellular network after being used in the Airplane mode. Apple has reacted to the problem and, according to the internal documents obtained by reporters, is investigating the issue.

As a temporary solution, the company recommends those users who have troubles with the connection to cellular network to restart their devices. If this does not help, they should reinsert their SIM card.

MacRumors reader Yasser El-Haggan has shared a video that shows Airplane mode being turned off on an iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s. The iPhone 6s obtains two bars of LTE but the iPhone 7 displays No Service.

Apple has replaced El-Haggan’s faulty iPhone with a new one. Hopefully, this is not the only solution to the problem.

Most likely, a permanent fix will be included in the next update. It will be released within the next couple of weeks.
