Samsung Working on iPad Pro Rival - Rumor



According to the latest report shared by people familiar with the matter, Samsung is currently working on a massive 18.4-inch tablet. This device is expected to become the main and probably the only rival of the iPad Pro, which is expected to be released later this year. The South Korean tech giant is also working on a 12-inch tablet with an Intel Core M processor inside, 4GB of RAM and a stylus. The device will be running Windows 10.

iPad mini 4 to Get Better Processor, 8MP Camera and Other Improvements - Rumor



According to the latest report published by the Japanese blog Macotakara, the iPad mini 4, which is expected to be released this fall, will be a smaller copy of the iPad Air 2. People familiar with the matter claim the tablet will get an updated 64-bit A8 processor, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and the 8-megapixel rear camera. Moreover, the fourth-generation iPad mini will become thinner - only 6.1mm.

Apple Releases New iPod touch with A8 Processor Inside, Refreshed iPod shuffle and iPod nano



Just as we expected, Apple on Wednesday released a brand new iPod touch and refreshed the entire lineup of iPods with new colors. The updated iPod touch can boast of the 64-bit A8 processor and M8 motion coprocessor, 4-inch display, 8-megapixel camera. As to the memory capacity, it is equal to 16GB, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB. The price depends on the capacity of the gadget and starts from $199 for the lower-end 16GB portable player and ends with $399 for the 128GB model.

Apple Remains Top U.S. Smartphone Manufacturer



According to the latest data shared by a research firm called comScore, Apple remains the top smartphone manufacturer in the United States of America. Apple’s market share is currently equal to 43.5%. Samsung is ranked second with the market share of 28.7% and LG is the third with 8.2%.

Second Version of Taig Jailbreak for iOS 8.3 Leaks Online



A new version of Taig jailbreak utility has been discovered by reddit user nicknamed seiterseiter1. According to what this user has written, this version contains a fix for Cydia Substrate. Still, it should be noted that this is a Chinese pre-release version, which hasn’t been finalised and optimized for average users yet. Although it seems to be quite stable, there’s no guarantee it won’t freeze or crash. that is why install it only at your own risk.

Apple Releases iTunes 12.1 Featuring New Widget for Notification Center



Several days after the release of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and iOS 8.1.3 to users worldwide, the guys from Cupertino updated iTunes. iTunes 12.1 can boast of minor stability and performance improvements as well as one easily noticeable feature. This feature is a new iTunes widget for Notification Center. The problem is that if you use iTunes on PC or Mac with OS X version lower that Yosemite, you won’t be able to launch and utilize this widget.

Apple to Announce Financial Results in Fiscal Q1 2015 on January 27th



According to the data that can be found on Apple’s official Investor Page, the guys from Cupertino will officially announce their financial results in the first fiscal quarter of 2015 on Tuesday, January 27th. The conference devoted to the earnings in the first quarter is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM Pacific / 5:00 PM Eastern time. The PanguTeam has released Pangu8 1.2.1, an updated version of their utility to jailbreak iOS 8.0 - 8.1.

Apple officially announces iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3



 

Today Apple officially announced two new tablets - iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

iPad Air 2, teblet with 9.7" Retina 2048 x 1536 pixels display, is now 18 percent thinner than the first iPad Air (6.1 mm vs 7.5 mm), has brand new A8X processor that is 40 percent faster. iPad Air 2 is also lighter 437g vs 469g for Wifi model. It's also got a brand new camera out back: an 8MP iSight camera (f/2.4 aperture) that does 1080p video, burstmode, panorama shots, and auto HDR (that takes up a bit less space). iPad Air has Touch ID, the Home button-based security system that enables login via fingerprint. With Touch ID, iPad Air 2 also has Apple Pay, albeit enabled for online purchases only. Front-facing camera is also getting improved, and it's now known as the "Facetime HD" camera.
