Apple Is Distributing Corrupted Updates For Some Apps
Marco Arment, developer behind Instapaper app, today that Apple appears to be distributing corrupted updates that cause crashes of some apps immediately after launching. Arment first noticed the issue after updating to version 4.2.3 last night. Apple has yet to provide a statement or a fix for the issue. This issue has apparently affected the app updates, which were approved by the company during the past several days.
Brightcove’s API Makes It Easier To Create Dual-Screen Apple TV And iOS apps
Today Brightcove App Cloud Core, a free edition of its app platform allowing developers to create iOS apps using JavaScript and HTML5. One of the main new features of the platform is the ability for developers to create dual-screen iOS app to transfer content to the Apple TV via AirPlay.

iOS 5.1.1: what's new and download links
Apple released iOS 5.1.1 (build number 9B206) for iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone. This is a small update with several bugfixes and small improvements. Here is the official list of changes:
- Improves reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut.
- Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks.
- Fixes bugs that affected AirPlay video playback in some circumstances.
- Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List.
- Fixes an issue where ‘Unable to purchase’ alert could be displayed after successful purchase.

Apple updates Apple TV to version 5.0.1 9B206f

Apple released the new iOS firmware 5.0.1 (9B206f) for both Apple TV 2G and latest Apple TV 3G. The software update to bring fixes to AirPlay, Netflix, Home Sharing, and more. New firmware also includes HD previews for movies and TV shows on the iTunes Store.

Apple Readying Miniaturized Dock Connector for Future iPhones

Apple blog iMore has "heard" from unnamed sources that Apple is looking to replace the venerable 30-pin iPhone, iPad and iPod dock connector with a smaller, space-saving successor that will possibly make a debut in the company's next generation iPhone.
An updated “micro dock” could make room for bigger batteries, 4G radios, and other components far more important to the iPhone and iPad in a PC free world. As iMore points out, the current dock connector isn't huge, but as devices continue to get smaller and thinner, every little bit counts.
Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion coming this summer with 100+ new features
Just a few hours ago Apple has announced Mac OS X 10.8, dubbed "Mountain Lion," the next major release of its Mac operating system, set to launch on the Mac App Store this summer. Apple has boasted that Mountain Lion packs over 100 new features, including many brought from the iPad and iOS mobile operating system.
What's new
New features introduced with Mountain Lion include Messages, which replaces iChat, as well as Notes, Reminders and Game Center for the Mac, Notification Center, Share Sheets, Twitter integration, and AirPlay Mirroring. Mountain Lion will also be the first OS X release with iCloud. Apple also adds Gatekeeper, which helps keep users safe from malicious software by giving control over what applications are installed on a Mac.
