Pegatron Will Boost Its Production Capacity to Help Apple Produce iPhones?





According the the latest report from Nikkei, Apple's supplier Pegatron is currently working hard to boost its production capacity. Such a step is caused by strong demand for the recently-released iPhone 6. Apart from manufacturing the 4.7-inch handset, this factory may also get orders for the production of the larger 5.5-inch model as Foxconn can't cope with such a massive load.

iOS 8 Adoption Rate Is Now Close to 60% - Apple



According to what can be found on the App Store support page for developers, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system is currently installed on 56% of compatible devices. Over the past month, the adoption rate has increased 8% and that is an impressive result, I must say. In case you don't know, Apple made the eighth version of iOS available for users worldwide seven and a half weeks ago.

iOS Improves Its Position in Enterprise Market, Android Falls Behind



According to the latest Mobility Index Report published by a research firm called Good Technology, iOS market share in the enterprise market remains high and even goes up. The rival mobile operating system, Android, sees a decrease in market share in corporate sector and Windows Phone platform demonstrates stable results and remains the third most-popular OS.

New Piece of Malware Discovered That Attacks iOS Users



A new piece of malicious software that affects iOS devices has been recently discovered by the security researchers from FireEye. The malware is called Masque Attack and it can replace the legitimate apps you have installed on your device with their malicious copies. These copies look so similar to the trustworthy apps that it is nearly impossible for an average user to notice his or her device has been infected.

According to the latest report from a research firm called IDC, Apple noticeably improved its position on the U.S. PC market in the third quarter of 2014. In fact, the guys from Cupertino managed to reach the highest PC market share ever reported. Walmart Refuses to Support Apple Pay, Working on Its Own Payments Service



Walmart, one of the largest U.S. retailers, has refused to support Apple Pay. According to what the reliable sources from Re/code claim, the reason for the refusal is high credit card transaction fee. This reason for refusal is closely connected with another one. You see, Walmart belongs to a consortium of the most influential retailers called Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX); its members plan to create their own mobile payments system called CurrentC. This system is expected to boast of lower transaction fees; its launch may take place as soon as early 2015.

Pangu8 1.2.1 Jailbreak Utility Released



The PanguTeam has released Pangu8 1.2.1, an updated version of their utility to jailbreak iOS 8.0 - 8.1.

Here's what's new...

1. Integrate with Cydia 1.1.16 (Cydia fixed boot issue when using "Restore from Backup" feature)

Cydia 1.1.16 resolved the iOS 8 "Restore from Backup" issue, increased iOS 8 multitask timeout, improved App Store redirect block, and fixed the login dialog on iPad.

Chinese Apple Users Encounter New Type of Malware



Security researchers from Palo Alto Networks have recently discovered a new type of malware. This malware is called WireLurker and it infects both iOS devices and Mac OS X computers. Over the past six months, a wide number of users mainly from China have encountered with this piece of malware. The researchers claim that WireLurker is a complete new threat and it can possibly open the new era in the creation of malware attacking both Apple's desktop and mobile platforms.
