This Saturday Apple Will Open Its Largest US Store



St Louis Apple Store

Today Apple announced that on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. a new Apple Retail Store, which is situated in Saint Louis, Missouri, will be opened. It is known that the store with 55-foot wide storefront and 6,000 square-feet of space is "completely redesigned" and features new 592 square-feet lounge area. It will also offer Wi-Fi for free and customers will have an ability to check in to Genius bar appointments. Thus, the St. Louis Galleria Apple Store will become the biggest mall-based Apple Store in the USA.

In the newsletter Apple also informed that the first thousand of visitors will receive Apple T-shirts for free.

Apple Store Robbed, 12 iPhones Stolen!



Screenshot20100827at12.17.32AMIt became known that this morning at 4:20 a.m. one of the Apple’s stores situated in San Diego, California, was robbed. The thieves were dressed in jeans and hoodies. They did it at night and stole a dozen of iPhones.

According to 10News, two guys were involved in the burglary. They robbed the store, which is located in a shopping center of San Diego. According to preliminary estimates, they stole 12 iPhone 4s and 3GS’, which were displayed there.

They smashed the glass door into small pieces, as you can see in the photo.

The investigation has already started, but there are no reports yet about who was involved in the robbery. It is strange that the guys have not taken any other device. Were they looking just for the iPhone is 4 and 3GS?

Users continue iPhone 4 and iPad jailbreaking in Apple Stores



That was funny when people started jailbreaking iPhone's inside Apple Stores. The fun ended because stores started banning jailbreakme.com from their WiFi networks. Well, it looks like it didn't help.

Letter from Apple regarding iPhone 4 problems



Apple has published an official public letter of response to concerns about the iPhone 4 signaling problems. Some would say this is very nice and great. Others would complain this is just a cop out. Well, at least we see that Apple is aware of users' problems. Apple claims, that it's just a software problem of calculating how many bars of signal strength to display. Apple says there is no hardware problem.

Apple Released A Special App For Its Customers

Mugged WWDC attendee got a new iPad and an e-mail from Jobs

A wonderful story happened with one WWDC attendee.

One developer of China's popular IM client TenCent got an invite to an Apple's annual conference and made a long trip to San Francisco where he was robbed. As a result he got his iPad smashed and a few signigicant injuries. The story would be sad if this guy didn't go to Apple Store and had his iPad replaced for free after revealing his story. Moreover, when the developer checked his e-mail later, he found a letter from Steve Jobs with a short "Safe travels home" message.

Apple released official app for WWDC attendees

MacStories resource reveals that new app has a searchable list of sessions at the conference and allows organizing an individual schedule. When the app is launched, user can see currently running events or take a look what is available later. The information is updated regularly so you can be sure that the content is up-to-date.

It is interesting that the application has a “Places” tab. It gives information on locations that can be helpful in San Francisco, like parking and Apple Stores.
