Apple Releases iOS 10.1.1, iOS 10.2 Beta to Developers



Apple on Monday released iOS 10.1.1 with a fix for the issue making it impossible to view the Health app data for some users. The release of the updated firmware version comes about a week after the release of iOS 10.1 that contained some minor improvements as well.

Not All Ports of New 13-inch MacBook Pro Support Same Bandwidth



Half of the Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports on the new 13-inch MacBook Pro don’t work at full performance. Those ports that are located on the right side of the laptop don’t support the full PCI Express bandwidth.

New MacBook Pro Can’t Get More than 16GB of RAM



The new MacBook Pro can only be upgraded to 16GB of RAM. The reason to think so was the fact that Apple did not announce a model with higher RAM capacity during its “Hello Again” event this Thursday. Today, Apple’s SVP Phil Schiller confirmed that 16GB is the maximum RAM amount one can get on the MacBook Pro. You can’t go beyond that due to battery life concerns.

Half of Former Galaxy Note 7 Users to Switch to iPhone – IDC



According to the latest report from IDC, nearly a half of former Galaxy Note 7 units are planning to switch to the iPhone. This seems to be true as Apple reported a record number of Android switchers in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2016. The results of the survey can’t be taken for granted as they include data from only 24 Galaxy Note 7 users. Still, they demonstrate a possibility for Apple to benefit from Samsung’s misfortune.

Apple Officially Announces Results in Fiscal Q4 2016



Apple announced its financial results in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2016 marking the decline in sales and revenue.

According to figures shared by the company, quarterly revenue accounted for $46.9 billion and quarterly net income totalled in $9 billion. International sales made 62% of the revenue. In the year-ago quarter, Apple reported about revenue of $51.5 billion and net quarterly profit of $11.1 billion.
