ITC rules Apple violates Samsung patent, limited ban could apply to some iPhones and iPads
The United States Trade Agency has ruled that Apple has violated one of Samsung’s smartphone and tablet-related patents.
Under the modified constructions, the Commission has determined that Samsung has proven that the accused iPhone 4 (AT&T models); iPhone 3GS (AT&T models); iPhone 3 (AT&T models); iPad 3G (AT&T models); and iPad 2 3G (AT&T models) infringe the asserted claims of the ’348 patent. The Commission has further determined that the properly construed claims have not been proven by Apple to be invalid and that Samsung has proven that a domestic industry exists in the United States with respect to the ‘348 patent. The Commission has determined that Apple failed to prove an affirmative defense based on Samsung’s FRAND declarations.

Unlocking Of Newly Purchased Mobile Phones Will Become Illegal In U.S.
Tech News Daily, a new federal law in the U.S. will go into effect on January 26 making it illegal for owners of mobile phones to unlock their devices for use on other carriers if this is not authorized by their carriers. The federal law applies to new devices purchased beginning on January 26, but not to legacy devices bought prior to that date.
Walmart and Straight Talk Wireless offer iPhone 5 on special terms
Walmart and Straight Talk Wireless are now offering iPhone 5 with $ 45 rate plan with unlimited calls and data without contract. It was reported earlier from That's It Guys. Straight Talk is a subsidiary company of TracFone, and buyers of the iPhone will use network of the AT&T. There is no evidence that the phones will support LTE network.

Apple Will Seek Bans On A Number Of Samsung Mobile Devices
Following Apple’s 1 billion win against Samsung in court trial last week, Apple has specified which Samsung devices it will try to ban. The Verge Apple’s list which includes ban requests for Galaxy S 2 for AT&T, Galaxy S 4G, Samsung Skyrocket, Galaxy S Showcase, Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy Prevail, the S2 on T-Mobile and Droid Charge.

Carriers Testing Nano-SIMs Ahead Of iPhone 5 Launch
Earlier this week we reported that European mobile operators began stockpiling nano-SIM cards in anticipation of Apple using the new card in the next iPhone. Now BGR that carriers have already began testing the nano-SIM cards in cooperation with Apple.
Apple Places 55th on Fortune Top 500
Apple has placed 55th on Fortune's Global 500 Top Companies, an annual list of the world's biggest corporations. Apple moved up the list from 111th place last year. Samsung placed 20th. Top 3 are Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil and Walmart.

Apple released iOS 6.0 Beta 2 for developers
Apple recently released new iOS 6 beta 2 for developers. It is available as an OTA update or as a download here. Apple also updated Xcode 4.5 developer preview 2, Apple TV beta 2 as well.
When you download and install iOS 6.0 Beta 2 OTA the Settings icon animates. Take a look:
New iPad arrives to 21 more countries soon
Apple just published a press release that confirms the new iPad 3 will launch in 12 additional countries this Friday, April 20. Along with the 12 countries listed below, Apple confirmed an April 27 international launch date for nine more countries:
In addition to South Korea, the new iPad also will be available beginning on Friday, April 20 in Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela. Beginning on Friday, April 27, the new iPad will be available in Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.

Tutorial: how to unlock iPhone from AT&T
As announced, AT&T has begun unlocking off contract iPhones for customers. TNW details the procedure. If you quality you can contact the company via phone, chat, or in-store.
The only piece of information required by AT&T is the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number, which can be found under Settings -> General ->About on your device. Then in 72 hours you will receive email confirmation.
The maximum amount of unlock codes that can be given to an account is 5/year. You can see a copy of the unlock confirmation below.
