iPhone 4 Sells Out in Apple's Chinese Online Store in Only 10 Hours

chinese iphone 4

Earlier this week Apple opened it online store in China. Now people in China are able to order Apple’s products directly from the company. But within 10 hours after the store’s opening the whole amount of the iPhone 4 was sold out. And again like in situation with Apple’s retails stores in Chine, scalpers were blamed in rapid depletion of Apple's online store stocks. In Apple’s retail stores are not allowed to sell large number of the device per a person, the online store appears to be not protected from scalpers, who have special auto-refresh system to place orders.

The demand for iPhone 4 is really high in Chine. People don’t even care about price and people, who sell them handsets. They just want to get the rumored device and tell friends that they have one.

Apple may be planning to build the second data center in North Carolina

DataCenters-Flickr

According to a new report from All Things Digital, two new photos were revealed on the Flickr page of the Catawba County that show two renderings of Apple's site in Maiden, North Carolina - one of them is an existing facility and another one, which is labeled as "Phase 2", has two seemingly identical buildings.  It leads to an idea that Apple may have been planning to build another data center, but it remains unknown why the company still hasn't reported anything on such plans.

Rumors on the second Apple's data center site aroused last week when All Things Digital cited some anonymous sources and reported that Apple was examining the suggestion to double its operations in Maiden to 500,000 square-feet. As you may know, the data center in North Carolina is almost five times larger than Apple's current data center situated in Newark, California. It was also announced to be "fully operational" by Data Center Knowledge last Sunday, and Apple revealed it will be opened "any day now".

Just for fun: How does Steve Jobs' Business Card From 1979 look like?

1

Here is a shot of Steve Jobs' business card from 1979. For that time, it was quite expensive one. Steve Jobs must have spent serious money on such cards with embossed and stylized font and the logo (which you, unfortunately, can’t see on this shot). The address on the cards is a street from the current Apple campus and the phone number is still Apple’s main switch board.
