Robust growth of Cloud-based services remained in the shadow, along with Apple's financial results





While the media responses about flatline growth in financial results of Apple have a dominating position, the massive growth of cloud-based services Apple are reportedly remains largely unnoticed.

In 2012, reports iPodNN, the number of iCloud users grew from 85 million to more than 250 million. The number of iTunes users has exceeded 500 million, with a record profit of 2.1 billion dollars for the quarter.

Apple Announced Best Quarterly Results In Q1 2013



Today Apple announced financial results for the first fiscal quarter of 2013. For this quarter, Apple posted net quarterly profit of $13.1 billion, revenue of $54.5 billion and $13.81 per diluted share compared to net profit of $13.06 billion, revenue of $46.33 billion and $13.87 per diluted share in the first quarter of 2012. Apple’s quarterly revenue and profit were both all-time records, but analyst Philip Elmer-Dewitt had predicted even slightly higher results.

Brighcover CEO Shares His Views On Apple TV



Today Brighcover CEO Jeremy Allaire shared with AllThingsD his thoughts about what the Apple television may be. There have been many mockups and rumors before, but Allaire posted several new mockups and speculate on one possible route Apple may follow with the television. Allaire said that rather than just launching a 46- and 60-inch TV sets, Apple would also release a companion device.

Apple testing different television samples



In the recent days the flurry of Apple television rumors does not subside. Apple's CEO Tim Cook gave brief comments in the interview at Rock Center last week, The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple is really testing samples of future television production. Samsung Working to Keep Design Dispute Separate from Component Contracts

Several Samsung senior executives were reportedly holding an emergency meeting yesterday to discuss Samsung's next moves in the case. Samsung CEO Kwon Oh-hyun not present at that meeting trying to save the company’s component supply contracts with Apple. Kwon's primary responsibility is to oversee the company's component business, a division that maintains a close relationship with Apple.

Microsoft CEO Hinted At Possibility Of Building Their Own Phone



Yesterday Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer gave interview to LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman in Santa Clara. TechCrunch pointed to audio clip from an interview where Ballmer talked about the role of Windows 8 in the smartphone market dominated by Android and iOS.
