Bloomberg reports that Apple has filed a trademark for “iWatch” in Japan, according to a filing with the Japan Patent Office from early June. The filing, which was reportedly made publicly available last week, is in reference to an Apple “handheld computer” or “watch device.”
This does not mean that Apple will release iWatch, but it certainly fuels speculation that an Apple-branded smartwatch is in the works.
Ciccarese Design has released a new iPhone concept that features a curved display and fingerprint scanner.
This is iPhone Fingerprint Scanner, the result of the recent rumors. Such as the latest Apple products, in this iPhone there is a big chamfer on the front face. The screen is curved and the fingerprint sensor take the place of the Home button. Black & Slate or White & Silver are the colors. The smart-key concept is based on using a Bluetooth connection from the iPhone to unlock the car, which could be performed either manually or through a proximity rule, unlocking the car as you approach it.
Susan Kare, the creator of many of the original elements of the interface for the Apple Macintosh in the mid-1980s, comments on her work at Apple in an interview with Path (via AppleInsider). Kare joined Apple the first time under the name "Macintosh artist" through software programmer Andy Hertzfeld, whom she knew from high school.
