Apple to Acquire Japan's Renesas SP Drivers Soon - Rumor





The company from Cupertino may soon acquire Renesas SP Drivers, a unit of Japan's Renesas Electronics that manufactures chips for smartphone displays. Such chips are designed specifically for small or mid-size screens; they’re capable of detecting a display's performance, energy efficiency and a number of other parameters. Renesas SP is currently one of the Apple’s suppliers.

Recently Released Microsoft Office Apps Top App Store Charts



As you probably know, Microsoft on Thursday released its long-anticipated Office for iPad. The office suite consists of three apps, namely, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 12-Inch MacBook to Be Released Soon - Rumor



Back in October, a normally reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities claimed that Apple will release a new 12-inch MacBook with a display resolution of 2732 x 1536 pixels in 2014. Looks like he was right. According to a new report that appeared on the Internet yesterday, the company from Cupertino is indeed working on a new MacBook Air. As to the MacBook Pro, there won’t be any updated model until September.

Many Existing and New Users May Upgrade to iPhone 6 - Analyst



A large number of existing iPhone users may upgrade to iPhone 6 because of its larger display, claims analyst Brian Marshall of ISI Group. Apart from that, Apple’s next-generation handset may lure new users - those people who previously used Android devices.

The analyst believes that the company from Cupertino will release two iPhone 6 models, one with 4.7-inch display and one with 5.5-inch display. Apple is expected to unveil both smartphones in the second half of 2014.

TechRadar iPhone 6 Concept - Video



Ahead of iPhone 6 release that is expected to take place either in July or in September, TechRadar has come up with its own smartphone concept. To be honest, it looks pretty much the same as other concepts. Except for one thing - there’s no physical home button. Instead, the creators of the video suggest that Apple will use a next-generation Touch ID sensor. Take a look at the video and you’ll understand what I mean.

4.7-inch iPhone Air concept [video]



A new concept of the new 4.7-inch iPhone Air was released by Sam Beckett. Let's have a look at the designer's idea of the coming iPhone.

The phone is only 8% larger than the existing iPhone 5S, this increase is to accommodate the larger screen. Some extra space could be potentially utilised by reducing the width of the side bezels and by also slimming down the top and bottom of the phone frame too. The depth of the iPhone Air is 7mm, coming in 0.6mm smaller than it's predecessor. This modest reduction in the device depth and larger increase in the width and height could help create a bigger space for the battery and other components.

Beautiful Gábor Balogh’s iWatch Concept - Photos



It seems that ahead of the iWatch launch, every designer thinks he’s obliged to create its own smartwatch concept. And while most of these concepts look ugly and impractical, there’re some that are really worth paying attention to. Gábor Balogh’s iWatch concept is one of such.

This designer created a device, which doesn’t actually resemble a smartwatch. It resembles a classic watch and that it the point.

iTunes Festival App Gets Updated Ahead of Big Event, iOS 7.1 Not Required



The iTunes Festival app won’t require iOS 7.1 as was reported earlier. This means that the official release of Apple’s new mobile operating system may take place later than this week.
