Apple Announces macOS Sierra and Releases Beta for Developers





Apart from announcing iOS 10 and new versions of watchOS and tvOS, Apple has just announced the next generation of its desktop operating system, macOS Sierra. The big update features Siri, Universal Clipboard that allows to copy something on one device and paste it seamlessly on another one, Auto Unlock feature that makes it possible to unlock your laptop from an iPhone or Apple Watch and other features.

Apple to Announce Apple Pay for Web at WWDC



According to the latest report from Digital Trends, Apple will bring Apple Pay to the Web this Monday. As noted by the reporters, the company plans to announce the support of its mobile payments system on the websites of its several partner resellers during the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote. If rumors turn out to be true, PayPal and similar services will get a serious rival to compete with.

Apple to Announce iMessage for Android at WWDC?



Among other announcements scheduled for the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference, namely, iOS 10, OS X 10.12 codenamed “Fuji”, new versions of watchOS and tvOS, Apple may also unveil iMessage for Android. The rumor comes from MacDailyNews reporters who cite insiders familiar with Apple plans. Even if we don’t see the announcement at WWDC, Apple’s messenger for Android will be released to public later this year, sources add.

Apple to Stream WWDC Keynote to Mac and iOS Users



Ahead of the start of this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has confirmed it will organized a live stream of the highly-anticipated event. All those who have Mac or iOS devices will be able to watch the WWDC keynote on Apple’s official website and those who own an Apple TV will get a chance to join the event using the dedicated application.

During the event, Apple is expected to announce major updates of iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS. Moreover, we can also see the new design of Apple Music and some updated of Apple Pay and Siri.

Apple Seeds New iOS 9.3.3, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, watchOS 2.2.2 and tvOS 9.2.2 Betas to Developers



Apple has released new betas of iOS 9.3.3, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, watchOS 2.2.2 and tvOS 9.2.2 to developers for testing. The software is currently available only for those who have a registered developer account, however, the company is expected to launch a public beta testing program soon.

Developers Release New Version of Semi-Restore



A new version of the application for those who use jailbroken iPhones, iPads and iPod touch units and need to remove everything from their devices without losing the jailbreak has been recently released by the developers. The app is called Semi-Restore and, as I've already mentioned, it lets users restore their devices without losing the jailbreak. Semi-Restore now supports the hacked versions of iOS 9.02 and iOS 9.1.

As you already know, Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference will take place June 13 to June 17. Apple Watch Becomes Less Interesting for Developers



According to the latest report from Business Insider, developers are starting to lose interest in the Apple Watch. The report is based on data from a mobile database provider Realm. Tim Anglade, the Vice president of the company, says the number of apps created for the Apple Watch platform has fallen recently and that it continues to fall. In fact, out of every 1000 new applications developed for various Apple devices, only one is currently built for watchOS.

Hackers Shows Browser Jailbreak [Video]



A well-known hacker Luca Todesco who has successfully jailbroken iOS 9.2, iOS 9.2.1, iOS 9.3, and the yet to be released publicly iOS 9.3.3 beta, has recently showed the untethered browser jailbreak of iOS 9.3.2. To hack an Apple-branded device, the developer used Apple’s native browser Safari, which, as it turns out, is quite vulnerable to such threats.

The video below depicts the sixth-generation iPod touch running iOS 9.3.2 and the process of browser-based jailbreak. Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that Todesco will release a public tool for jailbreak. According to the hacker, he’s mostly interested in research, not actual hacking of iPhones, iPads and iPod touch units running the latest firmware versions.

Apple Working on Amazon Echo Competitor, Plans to Release Siri SDK for Developers Soon



According to the latest report from The Information, Apple is working on a new device based on Siri’s functionality that will become the rival of the Amazon Echo and Google Home.
