Apple Seeded iOS 5 Beta 6 To Developers
Today Apple released iOS 5 Beta 6 to developers as the iOS 5 official launch later this year approaches. Also, Apple seeded Beta 6 of iTunes 10.5 to developers that is intended for syncing with devices that running iOS 5 beta 6. In addition, Apple today pushed out Xcode 4.2 developer preview 6 that is intended for compatibility with devices carrying iOS 5 Beta 6.
The iPhone 5 will likely be released in early October so the public launch of iOS 5 should be expected in this timeframe as well.
In addition, Apple pushed out iWork beta 2 for iOS and beta 5 of the Apple TV software.
App Store Appears in Windows 8

Yesterday Microsoft that it is going to integrate its own app store into Windows 8. A post on the Building Windows 8 blog reveals that Steven Sinofsky presents App Store as one of the teams for the future OS.

iOS 5 Beta 6 May Be Released Today
While many of the iOS developers are currently playing around with iOS 5 beta 5 it looks like we may expect 6th beta... today!
Last week iCloudil.com found that one of the files of iOS 5 beta 5 had been remotely updated by Apple. After the release of iOS 5 beta 5 the update file was created on “2011-08-17”, but now it shows the date of “2011-08-18” which means Apple has postponed the update date by a day.
Though it can be considered as an iTunes’ check for update date, there are many chances this is a date for a new iOS 5 update, since the iOS 5 updates come fortnightly.
Google Has Acquired Motorola Mobility for $12.5 Billion
Today co-founder and CEO of Google Larry Page officially said that their company has acquired one of the largest smartphone manufacturer – Motorola, specifically Motorola Mobility. The company was sold for $12.5 billion, which is 63% more than the closing price of the company on Friday, August 12. This deal has yet to be approved by several official authorities in USA and European Union, as well as Motorola Mobility’s shareholders. All transition processes is expected to finish in the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012.

Apple released iCloud Beta 7 And OS X 10.7.2 Build 11C37 To Developers
Today Apple released two new builds for developers. First is the seventh beta version of the iCloud build for Mac and second is OS X Lion 10.7.2 Build 11C37. iCloud for Mac can easily make user’s Macs iCloud compatible, and it includes improved Find my Mac, Documents and Data in the Cloud and Back to my Mac services. Both builds can be downloaded via the iCloud developer portal.

Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 5 to Developers
Apple has just released iOS 5 Beta 5 to developers. Alongside the new firmware comes Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview 5 and iTunes 10.5 beta 5.
Developers can download it or update via OTA (over the air). Prior OTA all content and settings on the device must be erased (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings). The delta update is just 128MB.

Find My Mac Is Now Available For Developers
After giving developers access to Find My iPhone feature in iCloud service, it became known that Apple has also turned on Find My Mac feature in this service. Now it is available to developers for beta testing of iCloud service. The service was officially offered in Developer Preview 4 although its addition to Lion was leaked earlier. The user can activate this function within iCloud control panel in system preferences and their Macs will be displayed on iCloud.com.
Augmented Reality SDK From Qualcomm Is Now Available For iOS
TechCrunch recently that Qualcomm not long ago had launched Augmented Reality Software Development Kit (SDK) for Apple’s iOS. Original SDK was available only for Android, but Qualcomm had announced that version for iOS would be released in July. The SDK is designed to facilitate integration of virtual content and real content such as images taken with cameras on many handheld devices.
Apple testing Mac OS X 10.7.2 alongside iCloud for Lion beta 5
Apple is requiring developers to start testing iCloud beta 5 and install Mac OS X 10.7.2 build 11C26 for that purpose, but the company has not provided its developers with any information on test builds of Mac OS X 10.7.1 yet.
"You must install OS X Lion 10.7.2 in order to use iCloud for OS X Lion beta 5," Apple reportedly told developers. "This pre-release version of OS X Lion is being provided solely for testing iCloud."
People familiar with the Apple’s plans believe that Apple will initiate a separate beta test for Mac OS X 10.7.1 in the coming days or weeks. Moreover, developers, who have installed Mac OS X 10.7.2 and iCloud beta 5 note changes in Lion's "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" control panel and iCloud management interface that provides tools for managing storage, backups, and purchasing additional storage and lets users choose which forms of data they'd like synced to the cloud.
Abramsky Believes RIM Needs To Spin-off BlackBerry
According to analyst Mike Abramsky with RBC Capital, BlackBerry-manufacturer Research in Motion should change itself and alter its outdated way of thinking by spinning-off its network and handset departments.

iH8Sn0w has released a new version of Sn0wBreeze 2.8 b4 with iOS 5.0 beta 3 jailbreak support. Sn0wBreeze is a so-called PwnageTool for Windows, an application that creates a custom ipsw with jailbreak preserving old baseband.
The jailbreak is tethered for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPad, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G. Jailbreak is untethered for iPhone 3GS with old bootrom.
