Survey Shows Pre-Release Demand For Apple’s iWatch Is On Par With iPad





According to a ChangeWave survey, consumers show a similar level of interest in purchasing a rumored iWatch from Apple, as were interested in buying an iPad just before the Apple tablet was announced.

14 percent of respondents indicated that they are ‘somewhat’ likely and 5 percent ‘very’ likely to purchase an iWatch, with current owners of Apple products significantly more likely to buy an iWatch.

New iPhone 5S and iPad Mini 2 May Not Arrive Until Fall



KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released a new report adjusting his previous roadmap for new Apple product releases. He previously predicted that Apple would launch new iPhones and iPads in June/July. Unfortunately, that has now been pushed back significantly.

Earlier we estimated that shipments of the new iPhone would begin in July (FDD version) and September (TDD version), while iPad mini 2 would hit the market in August. Currently, market consensus for shipments of iPhone 5S, low-cost iPhone and iPad mini 2 is July, July, and August, respectively. But in light of publicly available information and our knowledge of technological trends, we now think all three products will begin shipments later than our previous expectation and market consensus.

Leaked iPad 5 Front Bezel



An image of a front bezel allegedly for the iPad 5 has been leaked on nowhereelse.

A picture that was sent to us by one of our moles Chinese may indeed be the first evidence the imminent release of the next iPad. Supposedly produced to equip the iPad 5, the side edges of the front panel display that you can see in the picture below cons are indeed much finer than the front of the current iPad 4 or iPad Retina. The proportions of this framework are at first glance similar to the part of the iPad Mini.

Samsung is to open its stores in Best Buy



Apple has long been a partner of Best Buy at special departments "Apple Shop" in many retail stores of electronics, but a new report from Geek.com indicates that Apple shops will soon joined by similar Samsung stores, along with the upcoming Galaxy S4 that serves as an incentive for the first phase of shops rollouts.

Apple examines possibility of flexible display appliance for iPhone



The United States Patent and Trademark Office published an Apple patent application (via AppleInsider), which offers the possibility of using a flexible display in iPhone or in other mobile device with transparent cover as glass tubing or other form. The display would be able to cover the edges and backside of the device, even to make a more visible area.

DigiTimes reports that according to an industry source, Apple intends to cut iPad mini in the second quarter of 2013. The cut is reportedly a 20% reduction for April.

Samsung Confirms That It Is Working On Smart Watch Project



As Bloomberg reports, Samsung has confirmed rumors from last month that it is working on its own smart watch. Given the rumors that Apple is preparing to release its "iWatch" device as soon as this year, it seems that the two rivals will again compete head-to-head in this emerging market segment.
