15-inch Broadwell MacBook Pro: To Be or Not to Be?





The shipping times for many 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro models have recently begun slipping to 2 or 3 weeks. This indicates that the supplies of the high-end laptop continue to decline. It’s true that the guys from Cupertino may unveil a brand new 15-inch MacBook Pro model with a Broadwell processor inside at the Worldwide Developers Conference scheduled for June. However, keeping in mind that these chips are currently deeply constrained, I don’t think that the official announcement is imminent.

12-inch Retina MacBook Teardown by iFixit [Images]



The iFixit team has recently performed a teardown of the brand new 12-inch Retina MacBook. As it turns out, although the laptop is full of modern hardware, it is incredibly difficult to disassemble it. Consequently, when your MacBook stops working properly, you will have to give out a lot of money to repair it. This is probably the biggest drawback of the thinnest laptop ever manufactured by the guys from Cupertino.

A wide number of MacBook Pro users have begun contacting Apple via company’s support forums in order to complain about the anti-reflective display coating, which is wearing off. The issue affects several MacBook Pro models sold between 2012 and 2014. As to the possible reasons for such awful problem, they include the contact between keyboard, trackpad and the screen as well as the usage of third-party cleaning solutions.

Apple Invented USC Type C Alone - John Gruber



Last Monday, at the “Spring Forward” media event the guys from Cupertino announced the Apple Watch and the 12-inch MacBook. What is interesting about the new laptop is that it can boast of a brand new multifunctional USB connector called USB C. According to what the analyst John Gruber revealed in his latest podcast, Apple may actually be the inventor of the new standard, which is USB Type C.

New 13-inch MacBook Air Specs Appear Online

Apple Releases Fifth iOS 8.2 Beta to Developers for Testing



Apple on Monday seeded the fifth beta of iOS 8.2 to developers for testing. The release took place about three weeks after the release of the fourth beta and nearly three months after the release of the very first testing version of iOS 8.2. This beta also includes WatchKit SDK, which allows to create apps and notifications for the long-anticipated Apple Watch and Xcode 6.2 beta 5.

Intel CEO Says Relationship with Apple Is Strong



Earlier this week I wrote an article about the relationship between Apple and Intel and about Apple’s plans to build its own A10X processor for the next-generation Mac as soon as in 2016. Although the rumor about a switch to own custom-build processors was shared by KGI analysts, looks like it was just a prediction. A couple of days ago, in an interview to CNBC Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said that the business relations between the tech giant from Cupertino and the largest chip manufacturer in the world remain strong and promising.

Apple Is Working on New 12-inch MacBook Air in Multiple Colors - Rumor



According to the latest report from atechwebsite, the guys from Cupertino are currently working on a new version of MacBook Air. The next-generation laptop is expected to feature a 12-inch display and come in Space Gray, Gold, and Silver colors. These rumors haven't yet been confirmed by Apple representatives, however, earlier this year a report surfaced online that suggested that Apple was indeed working on a new laptop with larger screen.
