According to what reliable insiders write, Apple is currently planning to release its first-ever car in 2020. This may be a fully-electric vehicle with self-driving option. The guys from Cupertino have set a very ambitious aim as normally car manufacturers work for about 5 to 7 years on each new model. However, for Apple this would be the first car ever, that is why 5 years is definitely a short period of time.

iPhone 6s to Feature 8-Megapixel Camera - Analyst

According to what Taipei-based analyst Jeff Pu has recently written, Apple will equip its next-generation iPhone with the same 8-megapixel rear camera, which is currently used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Unlike all the other smartphone manufacturers on the market, the guys from Cupertino have decided not to use photo sensors with increased megapixel count. However, Apple may improve the camera by adding new lenses or other hardware and software enhancements.

Nexus 6 Lacks Fingerprint Recognition Because of Apple?

According to what former Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside told in the recent interview, Apple's acquisition of the firm called AuthenTec, which took place in 2012, prevented Google from adding a fingerprint sensor to its Nexus 6. This handset was initially intended to feature an advanced fingerprint sensor on a back panel, right in the place where the Motorola logo now sits. Moreover, first prototypes of the device featured a sensor capable of recognizing owner's fingerprints. However, since Apple purchased AuthenTec and the rights for all its technologies, Google decided to opt out from the sensor.

Intel CEO Says Relationship with Apple Is Strong

Earlier this week I wrote an article about the relationship between Apple and Intel and about Apple’s plans to build its own A10X processor for the next-generation Mac as soon as in 2016. Although the rumor about a switch to own custom-build processors was shared by KGI analysts, looks like it was just a prediction. A couple of days ago, in an interview to CNBC Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said that the business relations between the tech giant from Cupertino and the largest chip manufacturer in the world remain strong and promising.

Image Showing Manufacturing Mold for iPad Pro Back Panel Appears Online

A new photo showing something very similar to the mold for the production of the long-anticipated larger iPad Pro back panel appeared on a Chinese microblogging website Weibo. While there’s no way to confirm the legitimacy of the image, the production mold depicted on it may be indeed for Apple’s tablet with an enormous 12-inch display. Still, it can be an unofficial mold used to create iPad Pro dummies and physical mockups of the device.

According to the latest report from a research firm Flurry, more than a half of new mobile devices activated during the Christmas week were Apple’s iPhones. This means that the sales results of the holiday quarter will surely please the guys from Cupertino.
