Apple to Sell 75 Million iPhones and 4 Million Apple Watches During Holiday Quarter - Ming-Chi Kuo



KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has recently predicted that Apple will sell as many as 70-75 million iPhone units during the next holiday quarter. Apart from that, the expert believes that Apple will sell 3.5-4 million Apple Watch units to users worldwide in the foreseeable future. Thanks to customers from China and strong demand for Apple’s iPhones in other countries of availability, the year-over-year growth may account for 23.6%. After the holiday quarter, however, the shipments may fall substantially and demonstrate the year-over-year decline.

iTunes and App Store Are Down for Some Users



A number of Reddit and Twitter users are currently complaining about iTunes and the App Store outage. Both services are down for some people, even though Apple’s System Status page shows that all services work just fine. It looks like the issue is not related to any specific country or region, since the customers from the United States, Europe and Asia claim they have difficulties with accessing either iTunes, or the App Store both on their computers and portable devices.

iPhone Market Share Grows in Europe, but Falls in the USA - Kantar



According to the latest report from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, in the second quarter of 2015, iPhone’s market share grew noticeably in such countries as Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The share on Apple’s native U.S. market saw a decrease. It should be noted, however, that this happens every year before the release of the new iPhone model.

Microsoft Plans to Acquire BlackBerry - Rumor



According to the latest rumors shared by insiders, Microsoft is currently planning to acquire BlackBerry. There are several reason for such a decisive step, namely, Microsoft’s desire to compete with Apple on the smartphone market on equal terms and the substantial amount of important patents owned by the Canadian company. According to what the reporters from an Italian website iSpazio write, Apple will start accepting the pre-orders for the Apple Watch in this country as soon as on May 8th. Apple has recently expanded its trade-in program in United States, Canada and a number of European countries to include Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone smartphones. What this means is that if you have a Sony, Samsung, LG, HTC, Nokia or BlackBerry device, you may change it for a discount that may be used when purchasing the iPhone. Moreover, from now on you can not only trade-in your older device directly in the Apple Store, you can mail it to Apple. As you may see, the guys from Cupertino do their best to make people get rid of their non-Apple smartphones and buy iPhones instead.

Chinese Firm Compares Apple to Nazis to Promote Its Own Smartphone



Creating anti-Apple ads has for a long time been the priority of Samsung and Microsoft. However, what this companies have never done is comparing the guys from Cupertino and their iOS to Nazis and their regime.

Apple to Open Several Apple Watch Stores in April



About two weeks ago, first rumors about Apple’s plans to open several separate Apple Watch stores in Europe and Asia appeared on the Internet. Earlier this week, the guys from Cupertino officially confirmed these sketchy rumors by updating their official website with the addresses of three brand new stores located in the U.K, France and Japan. All of these small shops will be located in large department stores and will sell Apple’s smartwatches only.
