Nobody can now blame Apple for being greedy or reserved company as today it has made a bunch of most popular iOS games available for free. Plants vs. Zombies 2 Will Be Released July 18th



PopCap Games has announced that Plants vs. Zombies 2 will be released on July 18th and unveiled a trailer for the upcoming game. The sequel will be previewed at E3 next week and will launch for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 will be free to download and a vast majority of the game will be free to play; however, players can purchase upgrades and other in-game items.

Apple Adds “Learn More About In-App Purchases” Page On The App Store



In March, Apple added “offers in-app purchases” warning on the App Store and iTunes after a class action suit was brought by parents claiming that iOS in-app purchase service allowed children to easily spend thousands of dollars.

As noted by AppAdvice, today Apple has added a new section titled “Learn More About In-App Purchases” on the App Store, explaining how the app-purchase feature works and how parents can restrict in-app purchases.

Apple Patents: iPhone Used As Car’s Smart-Key And Parking Locator For Cars



Patently Apple reported on a two car-related patent applications from Apple, one helping you locate your car that is parked in a large car-park, the other allowing you to use the iPhone as a smart-key.

The smart-key concept is based on using a Bluetooth connection from the iPhone to unlock the car, which could be performed either manually or through a proximity rule, unlocking the car as you approach it.

Amazon Acquired Siri-Competitor ‘Evi’ For $26 Million?



According to a report from TechCrunch, Amazon has acquired natural language search platform Evi for $26 million. Originally, the Evi app was distributed through the App Store, but Apple had threatened to delete the app over similarities to Siri. However, later the company said that it would "work with" the developer to reduce similarities. Evi was first launched in early 2012 and it is still available on the App Store as a free download. Foxconn Hiring New Workers For iPhone 5S Production



Today Bloomberg reported that Foxconn has started hiring new workers as it is preparing for iPhone 5S production. The report said:

"Workers have been recruited at Foxconn’s plant in Zhengzhou, eastern China, for the past month, ending a hiring freeze imposed in February, said the person, who asked not to be named because the plans haven’t been made public. The extra workers will assemble the new device as well as existing models and have been added at Apple’s request to boost capacity, the person said”.

The Mac version SimCity will arrive on June 11th



EA announced that a new game SimCity will be available for the Mac from June 11. Players will be able to purchase a Mac version of SimCity via digital download from the Origin, digital Steam-like store of EA that launched this year, as well as other digital providers. The owners of the PC version of SimCity will receive a free version for Mac and vice versa.
