Apple's iPhone 5s, Samsung's Galaxy S5, Nexus 5 and Other Devices Hacked by Security Researchers





At the annual two-day Mobile Pwn2Own conference held earlier this week by HP, several groups of developers managed to find a number of bugs in iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms and successfully hacked Apple's iPhone 5s, Samsung's Galaxy S5, Google's Nexus 5, Microsoft's Nokia Lumia 1520 and Amazon's Fire Phone. What I find interesting is that the hackers were able to get full control over all of the handsets except for one. You will never guess, which device turned out to be the most reliable.

Cydia Update 1.1.14 released with bug fixes



Saurik has just released an update to Cydia that brings us one step closer to a stable jailbreak.

Cydia 1.1.14 no longer causes your device to lock up while booting on iOS 8 when you use a passcode. If you have installed unsupported modifications you may want to restore and jailbreak again, as those modifications are not supported.

App Launching Speed Test: Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 [Video]



How fast is iPhone 6 compared to other popular smartphones? PhoneBuff performed a serious of real tests.

Each phone was raced through a series of apps including the camera, photos, web browser, Dictionary.com, Photoshop Touch, Google Earth, Temple Run 2, Fifa 14, Smash Hit, and Angry Birds. The series of apps was then opened for a second time to test the multi-tasking abilities of each device.

Following the release and record-breaking first weekend sales, AnandTech experts took both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for testing and benchmarked them. Purported Battery for 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Appears in Video



Following a leaked image showing a 2.915 mAh battery for the upcoming 5.5-inch iPhone 6 that appeared on the Internet last week, a new video was shared today by a French website called Nowhereelse.fr, which shows us that same part for Apple's handset. The leaked part looks genuine and goes in line with all the previous rumors about the device. According to the latest report from Re/code, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to set a price tag for the upcoming iWatch at about $400. New photos showing something very similar to the battery for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 appeared on the Internet earlier today. As you may see on the image below, the battery has a capacity of 1,810 mAh. If to compare this battery to the battery found inside of the iPhone 5s, we may see that its capacity only slightly higher as the capacity of the current Apple’s smartphone.
