Apple Pulls iPhoto and Aperture Apps from App Store After OS X 10.10.3 Release





Apple has recently pulled the iPhoto and Aperture apps from the Mac App Store. As you probably know, the reason for such a decision is the official release of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 with a new Photos app on board, which is a replacement for iPhoto and Aperture. The guys from Cupertino won’t update these applications anymore and with time they will even stop supporting their older versions.

Apple в четверг выпустила седьмую бета-версию OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 для разработчиков и участников публичной программы тестирования. Интересно то, что релиз состоялся спустя всего через три дня после выхода шестой “беты”, которая могла похвастаться приложением Фото, поддержкой двухуровневой верификации Google, обновленными смайликами, а также рядом улучшений безопасности, стабильности и исправленными багами. Самая первая тестовая версия Yosemite 10.10.3 появилась где-то две месяца назад.

Apple Releases Fourth iOS 8.3 Beta Available for Developers and Public Beta Testers



Following the release of the fifth OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 beta, the guys from Cupertino on Tuesday made the fourth iOS 8.3 beta available for developers. This same beta is also available for the members of iOS public beta testing program. The release comes nearly two weeks after the release of the previous iOS 8.3 beta, which could boast of support of Google’s two-step verification, wireless CarPlay connectivity, new emojis and a number of other improvements.

Apple Releases Third OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Beta to Developers



Apart from seeding the third iOS 8.3 beta to developers, the guys from Cupertino released the third beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on Thursday. The release came just a week after the release of the first public OS X 10.10.3 beta and about a month after the release of the very first beta of this version of Apple’s operating system for desktops.

Apple Makes Browser Version of iWork Available for All Users for Free



Apple has recently made the browser version of its office suite called iWork available for all users. What this means is that now even those people who don’t have an Apple device can use Pages, Numbers, and Keynote directly in the browser for free. All they need to do is to create an Apple ID account and log in to iCloud.com. After that, they will get 1GB of cloud storage and the ability to create and edit different types of documents from any browser. If you for some reason can’t use Google’s online office tools or the web-version of Microsoft’s office suite, you should definitely try Apple’s iWork for iCloud.

OS X Yosemite Adoption Rate Reaches 12.8% in First Six Days After Release



According to the latest report from Chitika, OS X Yosemite adoption rate is a bit higher than the adoption rate of OS X Mavericks last year. After six days of being available for public, the latest version of Apple's operating system for Macs was installed on 12.8% of computers in North America. In case you don't know, last year the adoption rate of OS X Mavericks was 12.4%.

Apple releases iOS 8.1. What's new?



Just as Apple announced at its iPad & Mac event last Thursday, iOS 8.1 is now publicly available with new features including Apple Pay, iCloud Photo Library, and additional Continuity features. Apple Pay is available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users for making payments for purchases with the new iPhone rather than a physical credit card in supported retail stores and apps; iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 users will be able to use Apple Pay within supported apps as well.
