As AUSBT reports, Quantas Airlines is going to launch a six week trial service allowing passengers to watch movies on offered iPad 2. Passengers can use a ‘Q Streaming’ app on iPad 2 to stream movies from in-flight Wi-Fi access points. This six week trial service will be offered only on one Boeing 767-300 that can carry 254 passengers.

The photo above was posted on Chinese site Weibo. It shows what is thought to be components of Apple’s yet to be released next-gen iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S.

We can see the already familiar to us Apple dual core "A5" CPU, just like in iPad 2. However the chipset is not from an iPad 2 since it looks rather different. The layout looks more like the current iPhone 4′s A4 chipset. The visible part of the battery reads “430 mAh”, which leads us to believe that next iPhone will have 1430 mAh battery, which is slightly better than the iPhone 4′s 1420 mAh battery.

Unfortunately there is no proof this photo is real. One more reason to be skeptical - the photo is quite blur, while we can see A5 very well. What do you think, Fake or not?

As FinancialPost reports, J.P. Morgan’s analyst Mark Morkowitz suggests that Apple will release two models of iPhone in September. The first is the redesigned iPhone 4 -expected iPhone 5 – and the second is a cheap mass market handset with a tentative name “iPhone 4-plus” or “iPhone 4S”.

Hackers from the Chronic Dev Team recently announced that they have found 5 userland exploits in iOS 5. To us this means that it is very likely that an untethered jailbreak will be available for the upcoming firmware release.

P0sixninja made the announcement at MyGreatFest jailbreak conference held in London, England.

While this is a "record breaking number of exploits found", userland exploits can be easily fixed via a minor software update. The exploits are kept in secret, so hopefully Apple won't fix them before the expected iOS 5 launch next month.

The jailbreak is expected for all devices, including iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch and even future iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.

Apple reportedly has made a deal with Simplo and Dynapack to produce and supply a thinner and lighter battery for the iPad 3. Such battery means that the company may work on the iPad with a potentially thicker high-resolution Retina display. The cost of new batteries is 20-30% higher that the current iPad batteries but provides longer service life and higher safety.  Mass production of such batteries are planed on the first quarter of the next year.

With the upcoming iPad 3 to feature a thinner, lighter battery module that is widely believed to be priced 20-30% higher than iPad 2’s, Simplo Technology Co. and Dynapack International Technology Corp., both Apple Inc.’s contract suppliers of iPad and Macbook battery packs, will hence secure a surefire profit drive for the near future.

Institutional investors pointed out that the battery pack for iPad 3, scheduled to be massively produced in the first quarter of next year, has been redesigned to be thinner and lighter with a longer service life than iPad 2 edition’s.

The Makayama Movie Mount is a case for iPad 2 that can significantly improve video capture by clipping to the device a number of accessories related to professional photography. These peripherals include third-party tele-lenses and wide angle lenses, lights, microphones and a tripod providing pan and tilt camera movements, and stable shots.

According to the Financial Times, five Chinese environmental groups accused Apple’s local suppliers of systematic pollution and taking "advantage of the loopholes in developing countries' environmental management systems".

Unlike previous times, Apple apparently has soften towards Mia Jun, the director of Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (a co-author of the report) just hours before the report was published and invited her to a dialogue on the problem.

According to DigiTimes, Foxconn, a manufacturer of Apple gadgets, is expected to produce 20 million iPad 2s in the third quarter. This order more than doubles the 9.25 million iPads that Apple sold during the second quarter. DigiTimes reports:

Apple has launched a new TV ad for the iPad 2. The advertisement shares the tone and narrator of the last video about iPad 2. The focus of the advertisement is on usage of the Apple’s tablet in education. You can see in the video  that Apple showcases a language learning application, an astronomy application, reading in iBook app, a chess application, and more.

iOS 5 beta 7 has been released recently. It is available only for Apple registered developers. But you can try it too. Remember that you do it at your own risk. Remember your UDID must be registered at Apple in order to activate your device after install.

The tweaks chosen are both new and old, popular and unpopular. 30 is a big number so, I hope that most of you are able to find a tweak that you will enjoy having on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.
