Good news for all the Mac users, who want to jailbreak their iPhone or iPad running iOS 8 - iOS 8.1.2. A new tool compatible with Apple's desktop operating system has been recently released. It is called PP Jailbreak and it allows to hack handsets and tablets with the latest version of iOS 8 on board. It should be noted that today's utility for jailbreak has nothing to do with TaiG Jailbreak for Windows. It is a brand new tool created by a group of independent developers.

Apple to Release Stylus Alongside iPad Pro Launch This Year



According to the new report released by KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the guys from Cupertino are planning to equip their long-anticipated 12.9-inch iPad Pro with an optional stylus. Since the larger tablet will reportedly be targeted at enterprise customers, who use similar devices primarily for work, the addition of such a tool looks quite logical. Painters, designers and all those creative personalities that might need the larger iPad will also find a stylus very useful, I guess.

Young Designer Creates iOS 9 Concept [Video]



As you probably know, Apple is currently working on several iOS versions, namely, iOS 8.1.3, iOS 8.2, iOS 8.3 and iOS 9. While the first three versions are very unlikely to feature something really worth your attention (apart from the support of Apple Watch, of course), the latter one is expected to bring a wide number of new features to Apple’s iPhones and iPads. Its release may take place in September alongside the release of the new iPhone or iPhones.

Apple Patents New Home Button That Can Transform into Gaming Joystick



According to the latest patent application published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Apple is currently working on a technology, which will allow to turn the iPhone home button into a small joystick for gaming. The home button with Touch ID will continue performing its usual functions, however, a simple push will change it into a useful thing for gamers.

Image Showing Manufacturing Mold for iPad Pro Back Panel Appears Online



A new photo showing something very similar to the mold for the production of the long-anticipated larger iPad Pro back panel appeared on a Chinese microblogging website Weibo. While there’s no way to confirm the legitimacy of the image, the production mold depicted on it may be indeed for Apple’s tablet with an enormous 12-inch display. Still, it can be an unofficial mold used to create iPad Pro dummies and physical mockups of the device.

iOS 8 Adoption Rate Reaches 68% - Apple



According to what the guys from Cupertino have recently posted on their Support page for developers, iOS 8 is now installed on 68% of active devices. Such a figure shows that over the last month, the number of iOS 8 users has grown 5%. As to the reasons for such growth, they include immense popularity of Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as strong smartphone and tablet sales during the holiday period of 2014.

Apple to Announce Financial Results in Fiscal Q1 2015 on January 27th



According to the data that can be found on Apple’s official Investor Page, the guys from Cupertino will officially announce their financial results in the first fiscal quarter of 2015 on Tuesday, January 27th. The conference devoted to the earnings in the first quarter is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM Pacific / 5:00 PM Eastern time. The report on sales and financial results will be published on Apple’s official website immediately after the conference call.

NowhereElse.fr reporters on Sunday published a new image showing something very similar to the panel for the long-anticipated larger iPad called presumably iPad Pro. While there's no way to confirm the legitimacy of the picture shown below, French journalists claim they obtained it from sources, which were reliable in the past. The stores are closed, which means that one more “Lucky Bag” promotion in Japan is over. Most of the customers, who decided to risk and spend about $300 on sealed Fukubukuro packages, managed to obtain such goods as Apple TV set-top boxes, external battery packs, backpacks, iPods, Beats headphones and iTunes gift cards. Moreover, some of the Japanese shoppers were lucky enough to get Apple’s iMac, MacBook Air or iPad Air.

Apple Expanded Its 'Start Something New' Campaign to New Countries



As you probably know, back in December, Apple launched its Start Something New campaign in Japan. The aim of this campaign is to show works of art users can create with the help of Apple’s Macs, iPhones and iPads and such products as VSCO Cam, Brushes, Slow Shutter, iDraw, Waterlogue, iMovie, Procreate and Final Cut Pro. Looks like the guys from Cupertino have decided to expand their new art campaign worldwide as now it can be found on Apple websites across the globe. In particular, the new section of the website was spotted by the users in the USA, Europe and Asia.

iOS Users Prove to Be More Active Online Christmas Shoppers



According to the results of the IBM survey first shared by VentureBeat reporters, iPhone and iPad users managed to beat the users of Android devices in terms of online mobile sales and shopping traffic during this year’s Christmas Day. Last year, by the way, the analysis of user’s shopping activity showed similar results. iOS users were using their devices to make purchases online more often than the owners of smartphones and tablets running Google’s Android.

Ignition Tweak Brings CarPlay Functionality to iPad



A new iPad tweak has been recently released by a developer named Adam Bell. This tweak is called Ignition and this is a piece of software that brings the functionality of Apple’s CarPlay to the iPad. The tweak will be useful for those people who want to test CarPlay feature directly on their tablet.
