ipad 2 touch

Digitimes claims that Apple is willing to pay more in order to have a constant flow of touch panel supply after Japanese earthquakes and tsunami that had bad impact on Japanese manufacturers of iPad 2 components. Apple may reconsider the amount of money for pre-production deals with companies in China and Taiwan. Recently appeared some report saying that Apple may be affected by the Japanese disaster and experiencing problems with tablet shipments from Asia manufactures. Apple is clearly looking ahead. Now company is taking 60% of the current touch panel market, and a deal to pay manufacturers more to ensure availability sound very reasonable.

Woz Says White iPhone 4 Will Be Released Soon

woz

Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak confirmed that Apple managed to solve problems with the painting of the white iPhone 4. Last week we reported that Apple in collaboration with the unknown Japanese company created the new coloring process to address issues with the device. Wozniak also claimed that the device should come soon. He said one of the reasons which caused the delay was the device’s parts soled by the well-known kid (he ordered white iPhone 4 parts and then made some conversion kits and sold them). Those parts led to light leakage issues and washed-out pictures. So, the white iPhone 4 seams to be real.

White iPhone 4 issues resolved with new type of paint

whiteiphoneyay

As reported, Apple teamed up with an unnamed Japanese company finally developed a new process for controlling the uniform application of white paint to the iPhone 4. As rumors, appeared due to delay of the white iPhone 4, claimed, the device wasn’t launched in time because of problems with the paint being used, which led  to light leaking through the painted surfaces. According to iLounge, “the new material allows for the thickness of the painted layer to be specified prior to application, which apparently results in better yields and fewer defective products”. With this new material, Apple has apparently been able to successfully manufacture white iPhone 4. Though, it remains unclear whether the white iPhone 4 is in fact on track for a spring release.

Apple's next-gen iPad to get iPod touch-like back, wide-range speaker

ipad_2_case

Japanese blog MacOtakara published a new portion of rumors concerning Apple’s iPad 2. It claims that the second-generation iPad will have a smaller bezel, a flat back panel and a wide-range speaker. These changes might be caused by a couple of criticisms of the original iPad design. The outer plastic bezel surrounding the LCD screen of the iPad was seen as large by some. Thus, the forthcoming iPad will be 3mm smaller; reportedly measuring 239mm by 186mm. LCD screen on the next-generation iPad will stay the same size. Back of the iPad is reported to be "flat like an iPod Touch". It will allow the new iPad to sit flat on a desk surface. The current iPad has a rounded back. The Ambient Light Sensor will be moved to the "upper center of the rear panel and has a new 3mm slim hole". According to rumors, production of the new iPad has already begun and it will probably start shipping in the mid of January.
