According to a new report, Apple knows and is ready to lend "minor support" to Facebook’s web application platform "Project Spartan" based on HTML5, even after Facebook has attempted to understate rumors about this project.
Nokia announced that it had entered into agreement with Apple, and now the prolonged legal argument between two corporations is coming to an end with two parties withdrawing their complaints to the International Trade Commission.
A press release that announced the signed patent license agreement was issued by Nokia early Tuesday. Agreement stipulates that Apple have to make a one-time payment to Nokia as well as ongoing royalties. But exact details of the agreement are kept in secret. The statement also reads that Nokia has put about 43 billion EUR into research and development in the course of last 20 years, creating a patent portfolio that consists of 10,000 patent families.

Last year we told about Greg Hughes, who created the "Wi-Fi Sync" app, which allows to synchronize your iOS-device with iTunes wirelessly. After Apple's rejection the developer sent it to the Cydia Store instead. Since then the app was sold over 50,000 times. Apple yesterday, at WWDC, announced iOS 5 for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The new major changes include a completely revamped notifications system, over-the-air software updates and activation for new devices, and iTunes library syncing over Wi-Fi.
- The new Notification Center will aggregate all notifications that will appear at the top of the screen and will be less obtrusive overall.
- iOS 5 will be "PC free" , so a new device and iOS updates can be activated over the air.
- Tunes library can be also synchronized wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
- AirPlay Mirroring will also be possible to wirelessly mirror an iPad's display to a television connected to an AppleTV.
- Twitter will be integrated into iOS and Contacts can be updated automatically.
Yesterday we reported that Apple had released the Security Update for Snow Leopard users to automatically find and remove the known variants of the Mac Defender malware. Apple enables OS X to update malware definitions daily to make sure that new versions of Mac Defender and other malware software will be discovered and removed. But despite all Apple’s efforts, there was found a new variant of Mac Defender that manages to circumvent Apple’s new security update and work exactly like Mac Defender.
Yesterday Apple released the iWork suit for iPhone with the same future set of the iPad. iWork for iPhone lets you easily manage and create documents, print them through AirPrint, and share them with iTunes. All three applications - Pages, Numbers and Keynote - come with a new document manager to organize documents into folders, Keynote brings deeper compatibility with the Keynote Remote and Pages sports a new feature called “Smart Zoom” for viewing and editing data.

According to an anonymous source, this reported product by DigiTimes is improved model of iPhone 4 on same form factor, and uses ARM Cortex-A9 chip as CPU, but it is not confirmed whether this model has single CPU or with dual CPU's.
They confirmed that the new iPhone (called “iPhone 4S”) will carry ARM Cortex-A9 CPU (A5 chip), however it is unknown whoever it will be single or dual core.
