This may indicate that Apple has come up with a new strategy of updating its mobile operating system. Earlier, a major update was released once in at least 5 or 6 months. For example, iOS 7 was released in September, 2013 and iOS 7.1 that contained the support of CarPlay, surfaced only in March of 2014. Taking into account the fact that Apple is already testing iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3, it appears that the new versions of iOS may be released alongside new product launches.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Fail Drop Tests

Immediately after the start of sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in several countries, first drop and crash tests began to appear on the Internet. The bad news is that both handsets are not doing well in these ultimate durability tests. While they somehow manage to remain intact when dropped on the side and back, they have no chances when dropped on the face. The smaller iPhone seems to demonstrate slightly better results, but in general, both handsets can’t be called the strongest devices on the market. Take a look at the video and you will understand what I mean.

NFC Chip Found in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Will Work Only With Apple Pay?

Although both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can boast of the NFC chip, it appears that the guys from Cupertino plan to use it only for making their payments service Apple Pay workable. Other possible ways of utilising the Near Field Communication technology won't be supported, which means that the developers won't get access to the iPhone's NFC antenna and won't be able to create third-party apps based on the advanced communication technology.
