Numerous MacBook Pro Users Complain About Problems with Anti-Reflective Display Coating





A wide number of MacBook Pro users have begun contacting Apple via company’s support forums in order to complain about the anti-reflective display coating, which is wearing off. The issue affects several MacBook Pro models sold between 2012 and 2014. As to the possible reasons for such awful problem, they include the contact between keyboard, trackpad and the screen as well as the usage of third-party cleaning solutions.

Apple Begins Advertising Apple Watch in Apple Stores



As you know, Apple on Monday announced the long-awaited Apple Watch, the 12-inch Retina MacBook and the updated MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros are currently available for purchase, however, the smartwatch and the new ultra thin laptop will hit the store shelves only on April 24th. If you want to buy the new laptop or Apple’s first-ever wearable device a bit earlier, starting from April 10th you will get an opportunity to pre-order any device.

Apple Invented USC Type C Alone - John Gruber



Last Monday, at the “Spring Forward” media event the guys from Cupertino announced the Apple Watch and the 12-inch MacBook. What is interesting about the new laptop is that it can boast of a brand new multifunctional USB connector called USB C. According to what the analyst John Gruber revealed in his latest podcast, Apple may actually be the inventor of the new standard, which is USB Type C.

Apple Releases Third OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Beta to Developers



Apart from seeding the third iOS 8.3 beta to developers, the guys from Cupertino released the third beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on Thursday. The release came just a week after the release of the first public OS X 10.10.3 beta and about a month after the release of the very first beta of this version of Apple’s operating system for desktops.

Next-Gen iPhones to Feature Force Touch and New Pink Color Option



Following the official announcement of the Apple Watch, 12-inch Retina MacBook, the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro as well as the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models, several new rumors that deal with the next-generation iPhone appeared online. According to these rumors, the smartphone will be available in two sizes, just like the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The screen resolution will remain nearly the same. Apart from that, the smartphone may get the support of the  Force Touch technology and a new pink body, The Wall Street Journal reporters write.

Apple Announces 2011-2013 MacBook Pro Repair Program



After hundreds of users’ complaints and months of silence, Apple has finally announced a repair program for those MacBook Pro models, which suffer from graphics issues. The list of models eligible for the repair includes 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pros released in 2011, 15-inch MacBook Pro released in 2012 and 15-inch MacBook Pro released early in 2013. Moreover, Apple says it will contact those users, who had to pay to fix the aforementioned problem earlier in order to issue a refund.

Apple to Add Touch ID to Several New Devices?



According to a new rumor, which has been recently shared by the Taiwanese insiders, the guys from Cupertino may soon add the Touch ID fingerprint sensor to a number of next-generation devices, namely, the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. While such a rumor hasn’t yet been confirmed by reliable analysts or Apple suppliers, the addition of a fingerprint sensor may allow users to keep their data secured on every device they utilize. Moreover, placing a Touch ID on a laptop or a mouse can possibly make purchases with the help of Apple Pay even faster and easier.

iPad Air Plus or iPad Pro Physical Mockup Appears Online



As you probably know, the guys from Cupertino are currently working on the new iPad with a massive 12.9-inch or 12.2-inch display. The device is expected to get the name of "iPad Pro" or "iPad Air Plus". According the leaked schematics published on the Internet last week, the long-anticipated tablet will boast of the dimensions of 305.31mm x 220.8mm x 7mm.

Today a new video appeared online. In the short clip you may see a physical mockup of the device compared to Apple's iPhones, iPads and the 13-inch MacBook Pro. The video is available below, take a look.

Apple Improves Its Position on U.S. and Global PC Market - IDC



According to the latest report from a research firm called IDC, Apple noticeably improved its position on the U.S. PC market in the third quarter of 2014. In fact, the guys from Cupertino managed to reach the highest PC market share ever reported. And such a result looks even more impressive if to take into account the fact that the PC sales do not include Apple's iPad sales.

Apple Refuses to Fix MacBook Pro GPU Issues



According to the latest reports from people familiar with the matter, the guys from Cupertino aren’t currently planning to launch a replacement program for the early-2011 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models, which have problems with GPUs that cause constant system crashes and graphics failures. Even though Apple employees are aware of the problem, they still offer no refunds or discounts on repairs of the affected computers.
