Turkish Apple Online Store Went Online



Turkey has recently got its own Apple Online Store. Although the website is now only partially operational, looks like in near future customers from this country will be able to purchase iPhones, iPads, Macs and other gadgets and accessories directly from Apple.

Apple will Fix MacBook Pro Keyboard and Trackpad Lockup Issues

Geekbench benchmark suddenly showed that the new MacBook Pros based on the Intel’s latest Haswell processors are actually not as fast as they were expected to be. But the point is that the battery life has been improved - both laptops can work for about 8-9 hours on a single charge.

New MacBook Pros - First Look



Apple has officially released new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros.

Let’s take a look at the new laptops’ specs. Both MacBooks got the 4th-generation Haswell processors with Iris integrated graphics. It may sound incredible, but Apple claims that new devices have become 90% faster in comparison with the previous generations of MacBook Pros.

SimCity Finally Launches on the Mac



EA has finally released SimCity for Mac. This happened after a six-month delay - the game had to come out in February of this year, but since EA wanted to "ensure a great experience" for all the Mac users, they had to wait.

iMac discounts before Haswell processor update



Great discounts are now offered by retailers on custom iMac configurations. The level of stocks is expected to fall in reparation for the Intel Haswell processor.

For instance, B&H on Wednesday evening slashed the price of 15 different custom iMac configurations by as much as $150, several of which had not previously been discounted from Apple's suggested retail price. Many of those same configurations were previously available from other resellers, but have not been restocked alongside other Macs for several weeks, according to historical data from the Apple Price Guide.

It is also stated that big shopping malls such as Best Buy, Amazon, and MacMall are offering a  $100-$150 discount on standard retail configurations.

Steve Jobs сonsidered leaving Apple pro market



Ken Segall, author of Insanely Simple and the creative director of the Think Different ad campaign says that Steve Jobs considered killing Apple's professional line of products.

According to Segall, Apple is not supporting professional users. Mac Pro hasn't been updated in years as well as Aperture, the 17-inch MacBook Pro has been discontinued and the update Final Cut Pro did not leave up to user's expectations. Thus t seems that Apple will farewell the pro market one day.

I hope you’re sitting down for this, but Steve Jobs did in fact once consider that very option. This was back in the days when iMac had established itself as a global bestseller. During one of the agency’s regular meetings with Steve, he shared that he was considering killing the pro products. His rationale was as you might expect: consumer products have an unlimited upside, while pro products are aimed at a niche market that eats up major resources.

Apple May Shift iMac Production from Quanta to Pegatron



According to the latest rumors, Apple is going to change its main iMac supplier. Digitimes reports, that the company from Cupertino is currently thinking about shifting its iMac and probably MacBook Air and MacBook Pro production from Quanta to Pegatron. So far the latter one has been working mostly on iPhones and iPads.
