Kindle Fire HDX Ad Mocking iPad Air and Jony Ive

It’s something like a new trend: companies that create tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices release ads, where their gadgets are compared with Apple’s iPads, iPhones etc. Well, that’s not a crime, but what is the reason for mocking iPad Air and Jony Ive?

As you might have guessed, somebody has filmed another short clip to make fun of Apple. But this time it’s not Microsoft, it’s Amazon.

Apple to Offer Surface-Style Keyboard Cover for iPad?

Jamie Ryan, Apple’s former employee, says there’s a Surface-style keyboard cover in the works. Ryan has reportedly been speaking to some people at the company, who shared with him the information about prototypes.

It’s not clear whether the process is far enough along to make this Tuesdays event but they did say a few different styles had been in testing for a while. This would certainly allow Apple to differentiate the larger iPad from its little brother and market it as the more ’pro’ of the 2. Apple already sells a Bluetooth keyboard that functions perfectly with the iPad but it’s not quite as integrated as Microsofts offering, requiring a lot more bag space.

It is interesting whether Apple will show us the new iPad case on Tuesday or not.

New 'Anti-iPhone' Nokia Lumia 1020 Ad

Microsoft has posted a new video on its Windows Phone YouTube channel. As usual, it’s a short clip that mocks the iPhone 5’s photo sensor and claims that the Nokia Lumia 1020’s 41-megapixel camera with six physical lenses is a lot better, which is quite obvious even without watching the ad.

Here’s the description of the clip:

A kids's play is one of those times when you want to get the perfect shot. But most phones aren't capable of capturing quality photos at a distance. Even if it's just a few rows back. With the Windows Phone Nokia Lumia 1020 you get 41 megapixels so every seat is the best seat in the house.

You may watch the ad below. What do you think about it?

Another iPad vs Microsoft Surface Ad
