Recent rumors on iOS 7 look [Photos]



Newly leaked information about iOS 7 reveals that in addition to a flat design, Apple is also going to be updating the text and graphics in the operating system with a 'skinny' look.

9to5Mac's Seth Weintraub says he's seen an early beta of the operating system but can't post the images because they're watermarked.

Highlights:
● iTunes is Purple-ish with white (iSync-like arrows instead of a music note).
● Camera is Gray gradient and icon is same shape as you see on the lock screen.
Facetime is like it used to be without the gray. and flat.
● Compass icon is darker and flatter.
Safari icon is like the Mac circle icon without the silver frame.
Photos icon is a color wheel.
● Game Center is similar to the photos icon – totally different than before.
● Maps gets walking directions.
● Grouped tableviews now extend to the edges of the screen.
● Rounded rectangles are more squared off.
● Updated share menu with sideways scrolling rows featuring one row with Airdrop devices, one row with social networks, and another with copy/paste/etc.

Leaked iOS 7 Photo



UPDATE: official iOS 7 photos are available here.

A photo leaked online today allegedly giving us the first look at an early build of iOS 7.

In the blurry image below you can see that some of the icons have been updated with a flat design. Several icons including Game Center, Camera, Settings, and Music all have noticeable design changes.

Apple Continues To Dominate Online Rental And Video Purchase Markets In U.S.



Today NPD published a new report on the U.S. Internet video market for 2012, noting that Apple continues to dominate both video rentals and purchases.

In looking at purchased content, Apple’s share reached 65 percent of the movie market and 67 percent of the TV show market, while Apple’s closest competitors, Amazon and Xbox Video, holding around 10 percent of the market each.

Apple Added ‘Download Later’ Option For Large Purchases In iTunes



According to Macworld, Apple has added a new option for iTunes large media purchases made on both the Mac running iTunes 11 or iOS devices running iOS 6 or later. Now when purchasing media content that includes a large download, such as seasons of TV shows or movies, iTunes will allow users to download the purchased file at a later time. Apple outlined the new feature, which presents users with a dialog box to “download “Later” or Download” now, in a knowledge base article.

Bump App Loses The Ability To Share iTunes Music Between Devices



The popular file sharing app Bump today was updated to version 3.5.8. According to change notes, in the new version developers have removed the ability to share tracks from your iTunes library to your computer or another Bump user.

Apple TV software has been updated to 5.2.1



Along with updating the iOS 6.1.3, Apple also updated the Apple TV to version 5.2.1. The software contains a number of fixes and redesigned Hulu app.

Twitter Is Preparing To Launch IOS Music Discovery App

Apple Offering Half of Royalty Rate Paid By Pandora For Streaming Music Service

Pandora limits time of free listening



Streaming music service Pandora will limit the time for listeners to 40 hours of free listening per month, the company announced in a blog post. This decision was taken as a result of the increasing of license fees, which the company must pay to record companies.
