New iPhone is coming this September

iPhone-5-4S-mockup

Bloomberg says Apple is planning to release a new faster iPhone this September.

The device will include the A5 processor, the more powerful chip that Apple added to the iPad 2 earlier this year, along with an 8-megapixel camera, up from the 5-megapixel model in the iPhone 4, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. Apple is also testing a new version of the iPad that has a higher resolution screen, similar to the one now used in the iPhone 4, one of the people said.

Earlier today, another rumor source BGR reported that the new iPhone would be released even earlier, in late August. They have also mentioned that new iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 would feature a radical new design.

Mac OS X Lion Round Up

lion

Mac OS X is almost 10 years, but it still continues to evolve and as Phillip Schiller claims "not because of hardware, but because of software."  During yesterdays keynote Apple unveiled only ten of 250 new features in Mac OS X Lion. Some of the new features include Windows Migration Assistant, a new version of FileVault, built-in FaceTime and more.

Lion will be available only through App Store as a 4 GB download for $29.99. So you pay ones and may install the new software on all your machines. Little bit strange but App did announce an exact date of MacOS X Lion release.

Rumor: New Time Capsule To Run iOS, A4/A5 CPU

time capsul

Apple reportedly could release new versions of Time Capsule next week, during WWDC. Rumors claim that Time Capsule will receive some important updates: the Time Capsule would recognize known devices on a network, check for software updates available, download them in the background, and later seed them to all devices in a few seconds without having to wait for a download process. Such process would allow users to store content on iCloud. The new Time Capsule is said to run the A4 or A5 processors, just like the second-generation of Apple TV, and iOS operating  system.

Such Time Capsule that will run iOS and be capable of caching content for other devices, will allow iPhones and iPads to connect to iCloud, as well as will increase streaming speed and overall quality of media content. iOS-based Time Capsule could also be used for a broader set of functionalities such as serving content to Apple TVs or enabling additional options in Lion’s.

iOS 5 To Feature “Completely Revamped” Notifications and Widgets

Dashboard_Widget_icon

As far as we know, WWDC, set for the 6th June, will be about software and the future of iOS and Mac OS X. TechCrunch believes that the forthcoming iOS 5 will be unveiled at the WWDC because Apple invited journalists and the iPhone PR team that usually covers major iOS announcements. As expected, Apple will introduce a completely revamped notifications and widgets. Apple’s fans’ videos in the past weeks showed how Apple could change notifications and bring new voice-recognition features and implement Lion-like Dashboard and home screen widgets. Other interesting feature, Nuance’s voice-recognition, which Apple is rumored to implement with some licensing deals on iOS and OS X Lion, will unlikely to be introduced  in a new version of Voice Control (functionality that allows users to quickly call a contact or control music playback only using their voice) for iOS 5.

New MacDefender Variant Installs Without Admin Password Requirement

mac defender

Intego, antivirus firm, has discovered a new variant of the"MacDefender" malware that not requires an administrator password for installation.

Unlike the previous variants of this fake antivirus, no administrator's password is required to install this program. Since any user with an administrator's account - the default if there is just one user on a Mac - can install software in the Applications folder, a password is not needed. This package installs an application - the downloader - named avRunner, which then launches automatically. At the same time, the installation package deletes itself from the user's Mac, so no traces of the original installer are left behind.
