Foxconn Ships 1.5M iPhone 5s Units to China Mobile ahead of Friday Launch



Ahead of the official iPhone 5s launch on China Mobile this Friday, Foxconn has reportedly shipped nearly 1.5 million smartphone units to the world’s largest carrier a couple of days ago. These devices are expected to satisfy the preorder demand for Apple’s most recent iPhone.

Winterboard Has been Updated Recently



Winterboard has been recently updated to work properly on all 64-bit Apple devices running iOS 7 such as iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display. What that means is there should be no bugs now, so all those people who like to customize and change the default Apple themes and wallpapers can at last sigh with relief. Well, at least we hope for that.

Apple has released the very first iOS 7.1 beta to registered developers. The build number of this firmware version is 11D5099e, it is available for testing purposes only. Apart from the new iOS 7.1, the company from Cupertino seeded a new Apple TV beta.

Apple releases iOS 7.0.4 & iOS 6.1.5 with FaceTime bug fix



Apple has released iOS 7.0.4 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The update is a bug fix release with improvements. Apple notes that the update includes a fix for FaceTime calls that could fail for some users. The update is available over-the-air via the Software Update section in the iOS Settings app.

Apple has also released iOS 6.1.5 for fourth-generation iPod touch users. That iOS 6 update is designed to fix the FaceTime bug on the non-iOS 7 capable iPod touch.

iPad Air is Now Available via Online Apple Store in the USA



iPad Air is now available for all those who live in the USA. What’s interesting is that all the models can be picked up directly from the store, at least for now. Looks like the first batch of the devices won’t be sold out immediately, like in Hong-Kong yesterday, but its Apple, anything can happen.

Apple filed another patent. This time it’s a system that allows to control access to content using a person's physical features. The patent application entitled “Systems and methods for controlling output of content based on human recognition data detection” was published on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s website on Thursday.

USA Today Claims that iOS 7 is Apple's "Most Troubled" Operating System



USA Today claimed on Thursday that iOS 7 is the "most troubled" if to compare it with older versions of the Apple’s mobile operating system. However, the journalists were unable to provide at least one expert's conclusion or independent testing result, so looks like such an article was aimed only to draw some attention from the newspaper readers, that’s all.

Apple’s iCloud service went through the overnight outage - some users report they were unable to use Calendar and a bunch of other features. Apart from that, the company's online store was inaccessible for updates for as many as 5 hours.

Virgin Mobile will Start Selling iPhone 5s and 5c on October, 1



Virgin Mobile will soon carry the new Apple’s flagship - iPhone 5s - as well as the mid-priced plastic iPhone 5c. According to the carrier’s recent announcement on Twitter, both devices will be available starting from October 1st.

New OS X 10.8.5 Release Is Around the Corner



A new version of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 is said to be released in the coming days. According to the unidentified sources, the so-called “Supplemental Update” is already being tested by Apple - that means that very soon it will reach the end-users.
