Revolutionary Graphene Camera Sensor Will Greatly Improve Low Light Photography





Engineers at Nanyang Technological University have developed a revolutionary new camera sensor that is a thousand times more sensitive than the ones currently on the market, reports Science Daily. The sensor is made from graphene and is apparently the first that can detect broad spectrum light from the visible to mid-infrared with high photoresponse or sensitivity.

Graphene is a million times smaller than the thickest human hair (only one-atom thick) and is made of pure carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb structure. It is known to have a high electrical conductivity among other properties such as durability and flexibility.

iTunes 'Metro' App For Windows 8 Will Not Come 'Any Time Soon'

During an interview with CNN Money, Microsoft CFO Tami Relller said that they talked with Apple about developing an iTunes app for Windows 8, but users shouldn’t expect the app "any time soon". She notes:

"ITunes is in high demand. The welcome mat has been laid out. It's not for lack of trying."

Amazon Working On Competitor To Apple’s TV Set-Top Box



Bloomberg Businessweek reports that Amazon is working on a set-top box to stream video content over the Internet via its Instant Video and Amazon Prime services.

The box will compete with similar products like the Roku and the Apple TV, as well with a more versatile devices such as Sony's Playstation and Microsoft's Xbox that have moved into the streaming video field in recent years. The report notes:

Bump App Loses The Ability To Share iTunes Music Between Devices



The popular file sharing app Bump today was updated to version 3.5.8. According to change notes, in the new version developers have removed the ability to share tracks from your iTunes library to your computer or another Bump user.

Apple Has Shifted Orders For A7 Chips To TSMC?



As Taiwan’s Economic Daily News reports, "high-ranking officials" at Samsung has revealed that the company has not yet received orders for an A7 chip that is expected to be used in the iPhone 6. The fact is reportedly causing speculation at Samsung that Apple has decided to shift its orders for the A7 processor to Taiwan Semiconductor Company (TSMC).
