iPhone 8 to get Stainless Steel Frame and Vertical Camera – Rumor





Japanese reporters from Macotakara believe the next-generation iPhone has reached the DVT (Design Validation Test) stage ahead of start of mass production later this year. According to the latest report, the phone features a stainless steel frame that is placed in between the front and back glass panels. The design of the handset is a bit similar to the design of the iPhone 4, even though the iPhone 8 is larger, thinner and has an OLED display along with other notable improvements.

Apple May Ditch Touch ID in iPhone 8 – Analyst



According to the latest report from Andy Hargreaves, equity research analyst at Pacific Crest Securities, the iPhone 8 may lack the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Apple has troubles with integrating the sensor under iPhone’s display, and this may lead either to a complete switch to 3D sensing technology that will be capable of recognizing the user with his face, or a delay in the OLED iPhone 8 production.

iPhone 8 Design Drawing Leaks Online [Image]



Design drawing showing something similar to the OLED iPhone 8 has been shared on Chinese social network Weibo. The image shows the device with a large display, no Home button, and, most importantly, the Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the back panel.

Apple is facing problems with the production of new iPhone 8 Touch ID fingerprint scanner that is supposed to be integrated into the display. Samsung is World’s Top Smartphone Vendor Again – TrendForce



Samsung has once again become world’s main smartphone brand by market share. The Korean tech giant has regain its lead and beaten Apple. The company has lost its positions after the fiasco with the Galaxy Note 7, but looks like now the demand for its handsets is strong again. This allowed Samsung to grab the market share of 26.1% in the first quarter. Apple’s market share is now equal to 16.9%, according to TrendForce.
