Apple Released iTunes 9.1.1

Yesterday Apple released a minor update for its media player suite iTunes. Now the version of the app is 9.1.1 and here is a list of issues that were fixed:
- Addressing some issues that improve stability and performance.
- Addressing a usability issue with VoiceOver and Genius Mixes;
- Addressing several stability issues with VoiceOver;
- Addressing issues with converting songs to 128 kbps AAC while syncing (this function was previously available only for iPod shuffle)

You can update your iTunes via software update utility or download it .

Apple is Looking for Engineers in North Carolina

This week Apple posted ten new vacancies on its site. They all are related to North Carolina Data Center. Currently Apple is looking for Engineers and Technicians, though the position of Chief Operation Engineer hasn't been filled since January.
Apple's new North Carolina Data Center is approximately 5 times bigger that existing 109,000 sq. foot Newark facility. It is supposed to be a key component of the company's cloud computing strategy. Apple is going to invest in this project $1 billion for the next 9 years and expects to hire at least fifty full-time employees.

Speaking About Reasons of Apple's Actions

After the news about Apple's lawsuit many of us have been wondering why Apple did this. Obviously, the thing is not about money as the company already has $40 billion of cash and investments. Digital Daily's editor John Paczkowski thinks the reason is a desire to extend iPhone's growing lead on the market.
"Apple is suing to make an example out of HTC and lengthen the engineering time-to-market for Android handset builders."
While other Android smartphone manufacturers will spend their time solving a problem with developing of noninfringing technologies to avoid lawsuits, Apple will continue to iterate the iPhone.

Adobe releases a new video where FlashPlayer does not drastically affect battery life
Flash might be quite power consumptive. Adobe posted a video through its blog where the new version 10.1 refutes all previous data.
The phone plays a video on YouTube for 17 minutes. After that the battery has fallen by 6%. So the battery provides several hours of video playback via the FlashPlayer and this new data is not bad.
