NYC UpNext 3D is a new application available in AppStore. It offers a 3D map of New York. There is a support for GPS, users can see their position and all the surrounding streets. The application also includes Manhattan. Every single building is shown with the correct proportions of height, width and thickness. UpNext 3D NYC integrates many points of interest and users reviews. The app is very well made. There is even a subway map.

Apple has just let developers know that they can start testing the upcoming Push Notification Service starting today:
Start testing your applications using the Apple Push Notification service today. Log in to the iPhone Dev Center and review the Apple Push Notification Programming Guide and Getting Started video. Team Agents can log in to the iPhone Developer Program Portal and proceed to the App ID section to create the components necessary to enable and test applications using the Apple Push Notification service.

XROAD's G-Map, the iPhone's well-reviewed first turn-by-turn navigation app, has been pulled from the App Store. As we know, the iPhone 3.0 OS revealed yesterday has baked in turn-by-turn for navigation apps, so the timing is notable.
