Apple to Start Working on New Device-Unlocking System?





According to the latest patent filings published on Thursday by the US Patent and Trademark Office, Apple is planning to develop a new device-unlocking system. This system will allow users to unlock their iOS devices by connecting a set of illuminated dots, so that drawing a custom pattern on the screen of the device. The patent applications are entitled 'Gesture entry techniques'. There're two filings that deal with the new technology, not one, which a bit strange, I guess.

8GB iPhone 5c Becomes Available in Several New Countries



Back in March, Apple released a new 8GB version of iPhone 5c in several countries, namely, the UK, France, Germany, Australia and China. Following the debut on the markets mentioned above, the handset earlier today became available in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Italy, Belgium and Poland.

LG to Produce Flexible Displays for iWatch



According to a new report from Korea's Naver, LG will become the only supplier for flexible displays for Apple's upcoming iWatch. What is interesting about the device is that it will come in two sizes, just like the next-gen iPhone.

Auki: Tweak that Lets You Reply to Messages Quickly



A new tweak for those who like texting friends has recently appeared on Cydia. It is called Auki. The tweak allows to compose new and reply to messages you get within few taps on the screen.

To create a new message, all you need is to swipe down the screen. To answer a message, you need to tap on the newly added "Reply" button. Nothing more. That's all thanks to the Quick Compose and Quick Reply modes. Take a look at the video showing how Auki works.

A developer named Ryan Petrich has recently teased a new version of Activator. It is a beta version and it can boast of some new battery percentage actions.

The new feature allows you to set the so-called triggers for certain battery level. For example, your iPhone can play a ringtone each time it reaches a certain battery level. This is very convenient, I must admit.

Updated iPad Air and Retina iPad mini to Feature New Processor, Camera and Touch ID



As you probably know, Apple is expected to release an updated iPad Air and Retina iPad mini later this year. This is what KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed on Thursday. Both gadgets may get a fingerprint sensor, an improved Apple A8 processor and an 8 megapixel camera. However, it should be noted that the company from Cupertino hasn't yet confirmed the rumors mentioned above, so the release is stil under the question.

New 12.9-inch iPad Pro Concept - Images



A new iPad Pro concept has recently appeared on the Internet. It features a 12.9-inch display and I must admit it looks pretty good. The concept is based on the rumors about a larger Apple tablet, which first appeared on the Internet last summer. Back in July, The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple was indeed working on a 12-inch iPad, however, a couple of weeks ago an unknown insider informed that the development of the tablet is for some reason paused.
