According to Forbes, Apple has sold about 500 million iPhones. It took the company from Cupertino nearly 7 years to accomplish this task. The figure includes all models and all versions of the smartphone released after 2007.

iOS 7 Adoption Rate Reaches 85% - Apple



According to the updated figures that can be found on the App Store Distribution section, iOS 7 adoption rate reached 85%. This means that nearly 90% of the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users have upgraded to the latest iOS version.

In case you don’t know, Apple released iOS 7 on September 18th, 2013. On December 6th, about 74% of the devices were running iOS 7 and on January 27th, 2014 - nearly 80%.

4.7-inch iPhone 6 to Be Released Soon, 5.5-inch Model Under Question



As you probably know, the company from Cupertino is expected to release two iPhone 6 models in 2014. One will feature a 5.5-inch and another - a 4.7-inch display. However, according to some rumors that appeared on the Internet on Tuesday, what we shall see later this year is just a 4.7-inch iPhone. As to the larger model, its release is uncertain.

Pegatron Reports 22% Increase in Earnings



Pegatron, Apple’s supplier that is currently responsible for the manufacture of iPhone 5c and iPad mini, reported a 22% increase in earnings earlier today. The earnings may become even higher due to a new status of the Taiwanese company. In case you don’t know, Pegatron is said to be the main supplier of the upcoming iPhone 6.

Pegatron and Foxconn to Start Production of Next-Gen iPhones and iPad Airs in Q2 or Q3



According to the latest rumors, the production of the next-gen iPhone and iPad Air will start in the second or in the third quarter of 2014. Pegatron will be responsible for assembly of both iPhones and iPads, while Foxconn will concentrate primarily on Apple’s smartphone. This is what several Chinese sources report (via iDownloadBlog).

12-Inch MacBook to Be Released Soon - Rumor



Back in October, a normally reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities claimed that Apple will release a new 12-inch MacBook with a display resolution of 2732 x 1536 pixels in 2014. Looks like he was right. According to a new report that appeared on the Internet yesterday, the company from Cupertino is indeed working on a new MacBook Air. As to the MacBook Pro, there won’t be any updated model until September.

iPhone users grew 1 million due to China Mobile



According to Wall Street Journal, the number of iPhone users has increased one million last month thanks to the launch of the smartphones on China Mobile network in mid-January. The mobile operator has declared that the annual sales of the company are falling for the first time over the last ten years due to tough competition.
