Intel Wants to Become Apple’s iPhone Chip Supplier in 2018



According to the latest report from Nikkei, Intel is planning to take orders from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for the production of processors for iPhone lineup in 2018. Currently, TSMC is the sole supplier of the SoC for the 2017 Apple smartphone, but things may change.

Working iPhone 7 Prototype Spotted Online [Video]



First video showing a working iPhone 7 prototype has been recently shared on the Chinese social network Weibo. As can be seen below, the phone is a gold model with a working rear camera and a number of diagnostic applications used to test the functionality of the upcoming handset. The device from the video has a redesigned back panel with larger protruding camera and redesigned antenna bands. Moreover, there is no headphone jack. Finally, one can spot two stereo speakers for better audio playback.

Samsung Sells 77 Million Smartphones in Fiscal Q3 2016, Apple Hits Only 40.4 Million



According to the latest report from a research firm iDC, in the third fiscal quarter of 2016, Samsung sold about 77 smartphones compared to only 40.4 million iPhones Apple managed to ship to its customers. As Apple fans wait for the new model to come this September, the South Korean giant sees increase in sales of its Galaxy S7. Samsung’s market share is now equal to 22.4%, while that of Apple is 11.8%. The average iPhone selling price has also decreased from $662 to $595 in 2016.

Apple Won’t Release Lightning EarPods with iPhone 7 - Report
